It goes the other way too, you never see Scout Striders or Obliterator Hulks in high difficulties. Or even Reinforced Scout Striders at all, they're all replaced with War Striders. I'm not saying the way Arrowhead implements difficulty by culling enemy variety is good (it's dogshit) but more so the philosophy that the highest difficulty should somehow be accessible to everyone at any mental state and loadout no matter what.
Incorrect, war striders replace tanks. You still get scout strider hordes.

This guy should go insane and take it out in some kind of violent sexual spree at the Reddit offices, lmao. Be in San Francisco or whatever and be like "ALRIGHT! NIGGER TIME!~" and proceed to kidnap Spez, tie him up, and rape him right in the middle of the street while blowing a whistle over and over. Now that may sound immature and stupid, but it's really the only way that Reddit staff will finally get tired of troons. If you buck break a bunch of tech-business men, they will remember that anal bleed when letting dudes like Bardfin run the site.
Spez is as I understand it a Lowtax esque absentee landlord collecting checks and fucking Chinese spies at tech conferences while tranny jannies like Bardfinn run the site.

Btw this is what the clowns on here enable anytime they doxxx innocent people on the internet. Get some media literacy and take a long, hard look in the mirror chucklefucks.
Doxxing is gay and I don't like it but at the same time people need to fucking re-learn that you are not supposed to post everything about yourself online because you're exposing yourself to the entire world and you never know who will do what with that information.

My biggest issue with helldivers is the enemy difficulty vs. enemy quantity. I want hundreds of bugs that all die to one hit to anything, supplemented by tougher enemies. Instead they can all pretty easily kill you and all take multiple shots. It's probably a game engine limitation but I'd enjoy it more if there was more going on. Instead there's so few enemies it feels like a PvE game where the enemies are just humans in different colors.
I’m actually in the same boat as you, your very complaints can really be felt on the bots faction but there’s few chaff enemies but fuckloads of heavies that just overwhelm you because you simply literally will not have the firepower even with your whole team to take care of. You’re doubly fucked if the match is dropping Warstriders which literally cannot be killed unless you have heavy pen or anti tank weapons.

That's assuming the guy is American and subject to American employment law. It's not the same everywhere. Germany actually has the legal right for employees to do whatever they want off the clock (besides actual crime ofc), and companies are legally not allowed to pester them with emails/phone calls/bring it up in a review etc. But I bet a good percentage of this site would consider that retarded leftist libtard faggotry if we were talking about it in a different context.
Legally that's the way it should be in America but we haven't had the court cases yet to set that precedent. At-will employment laws were created before cancel culture and designed to allow employers to punish people for work-related issues. Cancel culture retards just abused those laws and tried to force companies to police all workers as if they're members of salaried management.

there's literally no reason why you can't have a game where Insectoids are "the flood" with a few champion types, the Robots are closer to PvE with human enemies like The Division, and then the Illuminate are something weird with psy abilities (they seem to be like zombies? I don't know what they were going for. I don't like them.)

but no they're basically all the same combat wise.

The Illuminate feel weird and confusing because their enemy roster is LITERALLY incomplete. They have the least amount of enemy types, and no sub factions. The community has been begging Arrowhead to finish the faction since the Battle of Super Earth

Bots have weakpoints but there are times where you literally can't exploit them. Tank turrets sometimes spin too fast to get behind them. Same with Hulks. Warstriders don't have one at all, so if you're unlucky enough to get them without anti-tank, good luck, even with heavy pen, killing those fuckers takes forever because of the retarded durability mechanic. Vox Engine is the Vox Engine. Fine if there's only one or two, nightmare if there's anymore. Factory Striders are actually pretty good. The only thing I'd change is making their chin guns slightly less accurate.

the illuminate doesn't feel well defined aesthetically or as an occupying enemy force it feels like i'm playing some kind of seasonal halloween gamemode with flying saucers and zombies. the enemy unit design just doesn't feel developed compared to the other two enemy factions. the theremin music makes it seem like frankenstein's monster is going to show up.

Every time I think about getting into this game, there's always some stupid shit that happens shortly after that.

but any company that starts modding its own Discord and subreddit inevitably starts policing the tone and discussion of the game, leading to toxic positivity ass-kissing.
Can actually speak to experience on this one. Once again bringing up my boomer MMO. Ultima Online recently had an official Discord made about 8 months ago, and the tone is VERY heavily policed to this toxic-positivity ass kissing thanks to the dogshit CM and mods (handpicked by Broadsword) who can't let anyone say a single bad thing about the game they've sunk-cost fallacied the last 25 years of their life over. Can't even mention the bot issue that never gets fucking fixed or barely acknowledged because "thats toxic" and "can lead to witch hunts". Anything even remotely negative "that belongs in feedback (that will largely be ignored), only positive vibes in general" or "this is a customer service issue, not allowed here".

Can you use other unofficial discords? Sure, but a game this old, with this few players, do you really have a choice if you want to be able to actually "play" the game (interact with potential teamates, set up trades, ect)? When theres an official Discord, its pretty much the same for any other multiplayer game, but its certainly much more prononuced in something with this limited of a player base.

Sure you can just not interact with it, but you're gimping your ability to do certain shit in game by doing so. Discord is a cancer that has become far too ubiquitous.

I mean AH aren't getting paid either, the reward for beating the challenge is just them getting to decide which charity the money goes to instead of the guy making the bet.
And smart devs who are good at their game would accept and make a thing out of it to make even more money for charity.

Glazers are mad at the recent challenge issued for the devs to beat a hive world with bad weapons for charity, calling it bullying. So naturally, their response is to dox the issuer and try to get him fired from his job.
congratulations on the featured.

AH is swedish, therefore euroscum, which means they hate their players...

I've not even encountered subtypes since I started playing this week. It feels weird and confusing because it's bad. The grunts are zombies, there's flying mercenary Boba Fetts, the general tether is that they are cthulu-esque squids, but then the main overships are 1950s flying saucers. It's just a hodgepodge of ideas that fall completely flat, both because those ideas do not work together, and also because what they're ultimately designing is an alien humanoid faction - which is not as fun to kill IMO, and also directly contradict the concept that Insects and Robots are (facially) ravenous planet-destroying invaders, but secretly sentience fighting for survival. They're clearly humanoids that think and feel and build spacecraft. The robots already fulfilled the niche of humanoids (combat-wise) but are more threatening, aesthetically coherent, and make more sense for the concept.

At least we are getting some new illuminate cultists/wizards units.
