Sometimes I forget that there are adults born after 2004 because the rhetoric is very obviously lifted from the Bush era. Not saying this about you in particular but a lot of people have tried to torture the setting as into a commentary on today’s world when the democratic handwringing, hyper patriotism, implicit but never expressed race-egalitarianism, glorification of the consumer economy, is all lifted almost word for word from the GWoT. People forget that one of the first and most memorable things Dubya told Americans after 9/11 was to go shopping. Super Earth is what would happen if Dick Cheney became the immortal machine-God of NATO.
 
Visitor here from the front page who has never played Helldivers-- forgive me for not reading 300 pages, but were there specific reasons why the reddit community attacked the challenge issuer aside from the fact that redditors are lunatics? In any non-reddit scenario, I would assume a game community would want a more balanced game and would be more likely to shine a light on the devs rather than ruin the guy's life.

It's a PVE game. It doesn't need balance. Half of the fun is shitting all over robots and bugs. Whenever they "accidentally" unbalance the game it's even more fun.
 
I stopped playing because the game feels tranny coded.

Whoever is in charge of balancing feels like some faggot with their dick cut off, trying to compensate by making everyone else miserable.

And the larping def feels like gay fascism tranny faggotry. There's a significant chunk of the fan base who takes it way too far and they are annoying to listen too.
 
I stopped played the game a month after it launched when the devs kept nerfing every fucking gun to make them worse. Theres a hard game and then theres a game that’s genuinely unpleasant because of how badly balanced it is. Very rarely do I feel like fights are winnable by “getting good” especially when nearly every enemy has armor making most bullets useless
