I swear every time I hear about this game it's always something bad. It's amazing how big this game got and the dedication of the community surrounding it, only for them to shit themselves. I still remember people mourning Malevelon Creek's loss with 25 million dead Helldivers like it was an actual event in real life, that's how dedicated people were to the immersion of this game. Hell, people made a whole day to celebrate it when it was finally taken back. People blame this "Shams" guy for all the problems, given how the game has been going downhill since he became CEO or whatever, yeah I can see it.

The Swedish game dev's need to punish his players is truly astounding. This game can still be a lot of fun, but every time the player base needs to bully the devs into reversing anti-player changes, it loses steam and playerbase.

It's a cycle of:

- players enjoy something actually kinda cool in the game
- they nerf or tweak it, and otherwise make it inferior and less fun
- the player base complains and even starts negatively reviewing it
- a few months later they reverse the changes after the damage is done, or only partly fix it and people accept it

A reminder that they never nerfed the Coyote and kept that promise, but they sure as hell tweaked fire buildup numbers for common units like bug warriors so you need more shots to ignite them (an issue only relevant to the Coyote as everything else applies more than enough fire with standard usage).
"Well, we didn't touch the Coyote! Stop complaining chud!"

seems to be par for the course in online games, especially the acceptance part.

Edit: I still play and enjoy it but every update is a smorgasbord of previous bugs popping up again and a day of crashing for random reasons

With every shitty update like that, a little more of the playerbase bleeds away. I know plenty of people who just fucked off HD2 and played their own friendslop of choice instead. These are folks who could be padding HD2 numbers and thus Arrowhead's stock with Sony but the swedes decided to be manbaby tards instead.

i wrote a sperg essay about this a while ago in this thread but tldr the issue is that Arrowhead was too incompetent to make Helldivers 2 the hardcore Escape From Tarkov-esque milsim they wanted it to be on launch and attracted an audience of normal players ('we didn't make a game for 6 million cod players'), they're so antagonistic and make such batshit insane decisions constantly because their company was founded on the premise of making niche games. "a game for everyone is a game for no one" is their official slogan and it's first thing you see on their website
they don't want to appease the majority of people because of this, and their leadership won't accept that they're ruining their own game by adhering to this retarded principle. that's really it. that's the reason behind everything wrong with the game. There's obv more to it like the various hints we've gotten through interviews over the years that their internal structure is raped with very little oversight or direction, which is probably why it takes them half a year to do basic shit, but that's all secondary to them openly pursuing anti-fun

The self censoring is incredibly gay, but it sounds like he actually has some vocal damage rather than a voice changer. It's grating, but likely an actual medical issue.

As for this news that fucking sucks hard. It's such a well made app but I should've suspected tranny pedophiles were involved given how autisticly well made it is.
