That stuff all happened before I picked up the game to try it with friends. At some point it stopped feeling like there was any fun left to be had, so everybody lost interest. Reading the rest of the thread has been pretty enlightening, and I don't think any of us would have picked it up if we knew about the game's history.
There is something deeply comedic about this. Making a big video about pedophiles in a helldivers community server, just to then have your own community server have a role to denote if a member is underage, as young as 13, and have tons of sexual discussion happening in general involving said underage members.
