I have no real reason to think this game will be bad. Apex legends and titanfall are good shooters after all. It just remains to be seen what this game will bring to the table but the trailer looks like it has you attacking from and defending a base in almost a rainbow six siege style fashion. If it has its own unique hook I could see it being a minor success. They really should have just stealth dropped it the night of the TGAs.

Yeah but in this case it's really egregious. They've copy-pasted Junkrat's outfit and split it across two characters, there's Widowmaker but red, a Reaper/Genji mashup. It's all very OC donut steel.

If the game tanks we get to laugh, if the game is great then we have a fun game to play.

Much like Concord, how good the game is is pretty much irrelevant. The problem is releasing yet another PVP hero shooter in a genre that's well past its sell-by date.
 
Overwatch had its artstyle, a very Pixar "look" and trailer for its announcement, and hot women that people turned into porn, and lets be honest, a "decent" pvp game at the outset.

This doesn't have any of that.

This isn't even close to true. Dota, CSGO/2, Apex, PUBG (Lol), and Rainbow Six all have one dedicated game mode, and they're still alive after decades. They added more later but they all started with their one dedicated mode.
 
The game looks like a a crazy mix of a bunch of ideas, I do think it can be good if they pull it off.
However I gota say I hate the BR/Extraction Shooter mechanic of getting better loot n'shit.

I'm interested, I'll give it a try later.

But other than her, that's the only character who really looks DEI besides the normal multiracial characters.
