This game had nothing to do with Valve. The developer leadership were former Infinity Ward employees who followed Vince Zampella to Respawn and then left after Apex Legends was released.
 
Geoff is likely holed up in his Fuhrer Bunker right now beating TGA interns to death with unsold copies of Highguard. Everyone please say a prayer for the lives that will be lost to the Dorito Pope's rage tonight.
 
It never stood a chance. Immediately trying to make me fuck with my BIOS and turn off some random ass setting was enough to dissuade me from giving it a chance.
I know, it isn't that hard to do. But games that I WANT to play never make me do that. And here Concguard is, some piece of shit I know I'll hate, imposing upon the very bones of my machine.
 
I still hate to see games completely vanish because they're live service slop but Highguard absolutely deserved to fail.

Yeah I gotcha, I was just also throwing in that, even with the more than 99.9 percent chance a HL3 reveal would've been received better than highguard's reveal, I'm sure valve is glad they didn't announced it at TGA.

Didn't this game just come out? Wasn't it the thing at the Game Awards and people were calling Geoff Keighly a shill over it? It's not Concord levels of failure, but damn, still pretty quick.
