You know how I'm always talking about being a "high-level" thinker? Well, up at levels 7 and 8, we have learned that level 6 (the "everyone is equal" level) got some things right. One of them is that "including a diversity of perspectives" creates better outcomes. What level 6 gets WRONG is that it includes EVERY perspective. When you get to 7, you realize that you need to filter for competence, which (at least in humans) excludes a huge majority of the population.

@Inside your walls 's post and hoe_math's latest "Repeal the 19th" tweet reminded me of this clip that I took from his Dec 25th 2023 Christmas Day livestream (where again, he was alone in his apartment livestreaming on the holiest of holy Christian holidays instead of enjoying the company of friends and family, choosing instead to milk his hopeless paypigs for dating advice from a retired manwhore)

It's interesting as well because upon watching a lot of his content, I've heard him warn many times that higher Levels of Consciousness on his AQAL chart DOES NOT correlate necessarily with higher intelligence.

But again, his recent "95% of women and 60% of men shouldn't vote" complaining about Level 6 women being dumb communists seems like more equivocation and inconsistency on his part.

I think that it's incorrect to compare the rise of Fascism and especially the Futurists with contemporary conservatism. The former sought to transform society and impose a somewhat ideologically-unified vision of the future upon it. Modern-day conservatives have no such drive and are essentially a reactionary movement without a coherent ideology. Another strange thing about hoe_math waking up and choosing violence over a nebulous assertion by a rando woman on Twitter declaring "Libraries decrease crime, thus we should saturate the ghettos with libraries" is that I can think of a few right-leaning counterarguments off the top of my head that don't involve stripping half the population of the right to vote or shooting them in face:

- explaining Causation v. Correlation (ice cream sales are correlated to hot summer days, but ice cream sales don't cause heatwaves, wet streets don't cause it to rain, etc)
- talking about the modern realities of municipal libraries being overrun by the homeless and the addicted, using washrooms, using computers, loitering to sleep and escape the elements, using drugs in the facility, bums using the public computers to goon, activists with suicidal empathy advocating for bucolic little libraries instead be transformed into community hubs for services for the indigent, etc
- that municipal libraries have become partisan themselves - Librarians lean almost exclusively to the radical left, inviting things like Drag Time Story Hour into your children's book section, featuring and stocking age-inappropriate LGBT books intended for grooming and subversion, how libraries bought in hard to the COVID restrictions and were fanatical about enforcing masks and vaccines as partisan divide, excluding a huge part of their tax-paying users, etc.

I was invited to join this thread from the other one, so I'll quote my post from over there:

I don't know the guy, so I'm not gonna speculate about him as a person.

It's kind of unfair to accuse him of only focusing on women or accusing "all women" of anything.

First of all, certain kind of dumb person will see critiques of trends within a group and see that as a blanket accusation against said group. That's dumb. Whether or not he's accurate, he's trying to approach the "sexual marketplace" with something like an economist's mindset—a mindset where you necessarily have to assume everyone is kind of a sociopath.

Secondly, from what I've seen he does also make a point to criticise commom male behaviors, such as lying to women about how serious of a prospect they (the women) are. It's just that (a) those behaviors are based on flat dishonesty rather than delusional thinking—the deconstruction of which is the format of his channel—and (b) that his channel is called "hoe_math". If he had a second channel called "fboy_math" or something, it'd probably do very well.

He's not even really anti-hypergamy; his brand seems more based on talking about self-destructive delusional thinking (in both sexes, but with an obvious focus on women). I'm not a regular viewer, that being said—after you see one or two videos about his bigger charts, you kind of get the gist.

Personally I really like charts.

Can't say I've ever read the guy's twitter.

I personally think that all political and social discourse should be conducted through crayon drawings and big charts, so kudos to him there.

Not really true. Peter Thiel pulled a major own-goal and funded HPMOR, Yudkowsky's Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality. That's technically "art" but is terrible. Thiel is (partially) why every single AI talks like a redditor.

What? Wasn't Yudkowsky born in 1979? Let's be really generous and assume he started work in 2008, looking for funding and doing pre-production. Even then he'd be 29. Yudkowsky had an organization SIAI (the Singularity Institute of Artificial Intelligence) that still operates today re-branded as MIRI (the Machine Intelligence Research Institute), but Yudkowsky isn't as active anymore.

Thiel donated money for education and outreach, and some of that was used for the fanfiction, both for Yudkowsky and for a person paid to sit next to Yudkowsky and force him to keep cranking out unedited and poorly written dialogue.
