There are more threads related to this topic, but slightly tangential and without a poll.

I'm just curious about how many hours of sleep you usually get (let's say during a work week), but if you want to post for the weekends, feel free to share on your comment as well.

Lately, I've been having less sleep and I wanted to change it, but I tend to procrastinate until late. It then translates to having extra during weekends, and more pleasant. It's great going to rest when you're really tired, but I personally need to have a more balanced schedule, how about you? Does it happen to you too?

I've worked nights for most of my life so my sleep schedule is screwed no matter how you put it. Sometimes, I sleep for 9 hours and sometimes it'll be 4 hours. Sometimes 6 hours will pass like a nap and other times, 15 minutes will be the deepest REM sleep of my life.i honestly don't know what to do with my biological clock but it seems fucked.

I average about 7. I can get by on 6 but anything less and I’m a zombie. On days I don’t work I’ll sleep in an extra hour or two

I need way too much sleep, like at times I won't be functional at even 8 hours of sleep. Hell, I've still remained really tired up to like 9 and a half hours of sleep. It's ultimately much more about HOW I wake up in my case, like I need to wake up naturally and not by alarms or else I'm just fucked for the day.

I try to get in a healthy amount but I've always slept terribly. Especially if I have something on my mind.

Usually they say 7-8 hours of sleep is acceptable. Though, I know many who also operate around 6.5 or 4 hours of sleep. I don’t know how, but they seem to work with it well enough.

6-7 always including weekends. Less than that and I'll be falling asleep during the day, more than that and I'll likely be feeling like I'm hungover. I've had sleep apnea for most of my life and oftentimes sleeping more makes me feel worse and more tired, it's pretty much a dice roll. Sleep sucks and I wish I didn't need it.

Lately it's been around 5-7, and it's usually pretty choppy. I'm a very light sleeper so it doesn't take a lot for me to wake up, my cat likes to come meow at me for no reason at 2 in the morning sometimes, and I have family members who snore really loud so there's been plenty of nights where I didn't sleep more than 4 hours (or at all)

There's no consistency as to how many hours I sleep, it does range from 0-5, and If I'm lucky and get my shit sorted out, 7-8 hours. On weekends, somewhere 8 to 10 hours. You don't know how many times I've tried to fix my sleep schedule, and whenever I do succeed, it eventually falls apart again in a week or two.

I make it a point to get six at minimum, although I sometimes have my brain go "fuck you, overworry about everything until you go to sleep two hours before work". Fortunately that only happens once a month.
