How come literally everything posted on this website gets an unbelievable amount of views so quickly?

This is something that's always been a huge mystery to me, I've been lurking on the Farms for a very long time now and I've noticed that legitimately any thread that isn't completely off topic [Like these threads] on this website gets a massive amount of views. Legitimately more than anywhere else I've ever seen. A minor internet drama happens? It will have 100k-500k views within a few days. A minorly notable internet figure who isn't important at all has a slip up? It will have 2 million views very quickly. Ethan Ralph does something retarded? 5 million views.

It would be less of a mystery to me if this reflected in society with more and more people talking about the Farms but it seems like legitimately nobody knows about the Farms even though it's so unbelievably popular? I mean this place gets more view-age yearly than most top celebrities/artists get within 5 years of producing hits. Yet I'm supposed to believe nobody actually knows anything about it?

Oh yeah a super long time now probably since about 2013. If being on the farms for a long time is a bragging right to you then you are the definition of insanity. To me it's embarrassing and I'm incredibly ashamed of it and I try to hide it from everyone I know.

So every time someone refreshes or loads a page from a thread it's considered a view by the Xenforo framework or whatever you'd call it.
