How do bans work on the farms?

Asking this question because of the recent ban of SIGSEGV.

I'm mostly curious about a few things.

• When someone is permabanned from the site, are they also IP banned (if not using Tor)?
• If they aren't IP banned, could SIGSEGV theoretically make another account on this site? (without saying he's SIGSEGV)
• If the above happens, but he does admit he's SIGSEGV, would he be banned again?

I was wondering what a ban meant for this site.

Bans don't work, look at the amount of socks Corbin, oP, or Tex15 have made. It just fuels their autism from what I've seen.

For 3:

You have to be extremely exceptional to be banned from this site, besides making threats of violence and advanced schizoposting everywhere you won't be banned. The worst you'll get is a threadban. @SIGSEGV already made an alt to talk shit about some politispergs on the final warning thread.

unfortunately no, i will never live up to his level of autism. i was mostly asking because i'm pretty new to the site and wanted to know how bans functionned here.
