If you're a Windows user, you might have a more challenging time since Microsoft fucking sucks and has to make everything have extra steps for no reason. Create a new text file and type the following:

Save and run it in command prompt. The ACP server should connect to your computer and activate the latest version of XenForo. Your computer might become slow while the server syncs with your PC. This is normal. Windows limits how many times it can exchange with the server because it is closed source garbage. If you restart, you will break the authentication process and you will have to try again in 24 hours.


For Linux users, the task is ironically easier than Windows plebians. Open terminal and type the following:

Press enter. Like Windows users, the ACP server automagically authenticates with your computer to activate the latest version of XenForo. Once again, it's normal for the authentication process to slow down your computer while the ACP server communicates with your open source shitware. Restarting during this period will ban your computer from XenForo's servers and you will be stuck with the water mark semi-permanently. You would need to re-install Linux to fix the problem.


Mac/OSx users can activate XenForo by constructing a noose putting their head through the loop like they have created a fancy tie. Then, they can grab the tail end and tie it to something sturdy like a ceiling fan or their door if they are too hipster for things normal people have. While doing this, it is important to use something unstable like a chair or a stool. This last part is important because you will eventually slip.
