I'm more familiar with fires that happen in sparsely populated areas, so I was having a difficult time figuring out what exactly was on fire. When I looked at the map it looked like a lot of the area was national parks. Thank you for your help!LA County 4000 square miles. Runyon Canyon(Hollywood hills) is a short hop to Hollywood Blvd - which is quite long as a blvd so is a little indescript.
Maybe 20 square miles of LA COUNTY has burned, but of what you would call "Los Angeles City" not much. Not yet. Keep in mind it is densely populated by and large and so 100 acres burned in Los Angeles city would represent immense losses of property.
The fact this fire in the Hills is going and Pasadena is in danger is as serious as it has ever been there. Fires in California normally affect forested areas and to have these fires so close to densely populated areas changes the equation drastically. A Fire burning through 5,000 acres of forest is a tragedy, 5000 acres of populated area would be considered...an epic scale of loss not seen in living memory.
I hope it stays that way!As an LA kiwi I haven't seen or smelled any smoke. I'm further south though.
I'd wager its closer to 6 or 7.
Beat me to itNot enough

I've actually only lived here for 6 weeks. I'm just here for a bit for work. Oddly enough I'm in an insanely large conservative area where there are Trump flags on like every other house. Probably why God is sparing it from fire.you just have been conditioned to not smell smoke after years of your nose getting used to the burnt smell of the friction in the gay buttsex going on in hollywood
