How The Alt-Right Celebrates The Fourth of July
The Persistence of White Supremacy In Our Culture

Ah, yes. The Fourth of July. Nothing better than your usual dosage of the grand celebration of white supremacy and racism that the United States of America was built on. Back on July 4th, 1776, The Declaration of Independence was written with the concept that "All Men Are Created Equal". Only men. Not women, not children, and definitely not the POC who were enslaved; just men. White men, in particular.

The Declaration of Independence is one of the shining beacons of white supremacy that still persists to this day. It defined American identity as a white male identity, pushing away any Native American tribe or any POC that lived or worked in the country at the time. And well, what do you know? We have a whole day celebrating it. Isn't that lovely? Having a day to celebrate the white supremacist roots of the country, ignoring all of the people who built this country via POC and the women that slaved their way through laborious tasks just to turn a profit?

As an African-American woman, it upsets me that to this very day, we celebrate racism and white supremacy. People care more about what white people did almost 250 years ago than a poor black kid sitting in a shelter homeless with their single mother trying to survive day-to-day. Even if people deny this, they're still ignoring the truth behind the origins of the racist culture that we have created. Especially when you have a certain figure that persists on still celebrating this holiday:

Ah yes, the unspeakable man himself. So unspeakable, I won't even name him in this article. He's beyond a disgrace to this country. For future reference, I'll call him a number fitting of his position as the puppet leader and chief and a number befitting of his IQ: 45. Yesterday, Mr. 45 has once again given a speech appealing to the alt-right's mentality at Mount Rushmore, stating in his speech of what he calls a "left-wing cultural revolution" in reference to the peaceful protests calling for justice in the name of the death of George Floyd. He then went on to berating the takedowns of racist statues in the protests led by ANTIFA and BLM saying:

"No movement that seeks to dismantle these treasured American legacies can possibly have a love of America at its heart. It can’t have it. The radial ideology attacking our country advances under the banner of social justice, but in truth, it would demolish both justice and society," he said later on: "Here tonight before the eyes of our forefathers, Americans declare again, as we did 244 years ago, we will not be tyrannized, we will not be demeaned and we will not be intimidated by bad, evil people. It will not happen."

Ah yes. It is the protesters who want justice and fairness in the world to honor our people who are the evil ones. It's not the people who persist on dividing the country by keeping up these statues and claiming them to be representative of the legacy of the country. Then again, maybe it is. After all, the legacy that this country has led so far have just been white supremacy and the like, and nothing furthers that then by claiming these virtuous people as the enemy.

And yet, the alt-right continues to praise 45. The people still cheer on the Racist-In-Chief as he bellows out his agenda and the alt-right just loves to eat it all up. They love being white and American. They'll put it on their bumper stickers, houses, stick American flags in the front yard, cook food, etc. They'll do just about anything for 45. They don't care about anyone else, but themselves and their own identity.

To actually have the audacity to be proud of this country during the reign of a white supremacist and racist in office who called neo-nazis "good people" is a testament to how far the legacy of white supremacy goes. Anyone who celebrates this holiday sympathizes with the plights of the alt-right and it shows within their white nationalist mentality. It doesn't matter if you're a POC either, you're automatically celebrating the suffering of POC and the oppression of others. It goes without saying, to be quite honest. From Jim Crow laws to police brutality even all the way to Gamergate, the pride of the United States is not within their national identity: it's within their white supremacy.

You don't like it? You can kiss my white ass and fuck off out of this country.

That's assuming this isn't a fact article (the link leads to a rickroll lol) but you coulda fooled me.

Parody or not this is the real attitude of the left today, remember when they used to mock conservatives asking "why do you hate America?" in the 2000s when the left would criticize any aspect of the Bush Presidency? Now they really do hate America.
