I've never been into Twitter. I have an account but I keep it professional. To spice things up a little in 2020, I'm thinking about setting up a new twitter account not tied to my actual name that I use at work so that I can mix it up with all the outrage, hot-takes, and immunity to nuance. I'm not looking to harass or bother anyone, but I want to start participating in all the tweetstorm moral panic outrage you always hear about in the news. You know like when JK Rowling says anything, and she's suddenly "under fire" for comments or whatever and people are coming out of the woodwork to tell each other the fuck off. I want to start mixing it up in this shit. I want to get in there with the common twitter proletariat and blue check marks alike. I want to as Jack Dorsey says, "have a real conversation".

This would Mostly for laughs. Reddit is fun for this too, but I get the impression twitter is a little more rapid fire and without all the pomp and circumstance of arguing with people on some subreddit. I want to do a little work on quick one-liners and delivering really subtle but witty insults. I feel like Twitter is where it's at for that. Is it worth it? From what I can tell, it seems like people really enjoy it.

This is like a clean slate for me. I honestly don't know where to start.

First start by following every controversial figure you can think of- TheRealDonald - Then from there you'll find a web of moral panic people. Then Twitters news feed thingy will suggest more people to to follow to add to the fire. As for getting in there? That I don't know, I'm more into watching the fire than poking the fire.

I understand where you're going with this and I want to be the first post in this thread telling you it's not worth the investment of time and effort to climb that hill even when approached ironically.
Follow random assholes with a lot of followers, be funny to them and leech idiots to amass your own followers, get involved in hashtags to remain relevant, post every few minutes so that people still remember you exist - it's not worth it. A joke has a punchline and if you aren't be-checkmarked before you start the N-word thread then you'll be gone like a fart in the wind.

personally? I don't have an account, but I've got a bunch of local news feeds bookmarked and I'll bounce through those sporadically
also cubsfan, this one guy who is a major source of lucha info for the English language world

I suppose I would poke some fires on Twitter. But I would do it on a different account. And have the posts be more similar to Ridiculous Information rather than A-Loggish Nonsense.
That's the only fun way to do it. It's not like the A-Loggers on there would take anything remotely serious with a grain of salt and consider it. I've seen a few people do something like that. The result is expected every time.

I have had probably 30 twitter accounts nuked and never really said anything bad on there. Don't waste your time, they are faggots, niggers, and troons. (and no, I never said that there)

Don't give Jack Dorsey money until his Twitter Blue Sky team is done.

Twitter is a tool to make yourself more edgy by annoying you with all of the massive fucking tools. Use it in moderation.

I have bookmarked a few news feeds (being one of those accused news hawks and all). I don't even have an account, nor do I want one.

Twitter's good only for finding out what sort of dumb shit is going on between tards such as someone sperging on how terrible fan art is because "male gaze" or how a new meme is totally a symbol of hate or how a game is totally cucked by SJW's because of some transflag in a background or a woman not looking pretty like some anime girl.
