Consider a scenario when CURRENT YEAR is finally over, since it lasted for a considerable amount of time doing considerable amount of damage. How would future generations look back at these times? How would these trends be looked back on and would future generations forget, or recover or would its affects still hurt them to this day?

It is not entire humanity most of current year shit is exclusive to the West. And worse things get less it will be able to spread beyond your borders. So I dont mind If things are going to accelerate.

It is kinda entertaing to watch.

One thing people forget is that Weimar Germany before Nazi rise was considered most (socialy) progressive places in world.

I'm worried about woke trends becoming natural ways of thinking. Wokeism is dehumanizing. Or trends of the New Normal sticking around. The New Normal is also anti-human.

Also Current Year "woke" isn't really a global thing. It's pretty much just a Western thing.

(also I voted maybe)

I’d like to believe it’s the end times, but in reality it’s just the west that is so fucked up.

Maybe we’ll see the downfall of western democracy? That’s be fun to watch from a distance.

The downfall of America is not the downfall of humanity. I’d say the west but Europe is pushing back far harder than the Americans. Americans are just too comfortable and will concede just about everything as long as they can continue the path of least resistance to consoom more product. The “I just wanna grill” set really fucked over America’s future. It’s a sad story but it is what is for the most part.

It will. Every awful trend since World War II (interesting coincidence, isn’t it?) has become normalized. What makes our current woke bullshit different? We just think this is all beyond the pale because we’re living in it in right now.

The concept of “it’s okay to do <x> but <y> is not” is our downfall. I thought it was fucking retarded for conservatives to preen and talk about how it’s actually a good thing to tear down confederate statues because they conceded history to the left. Now they’re tearing down any statue of anyone they don’t like and are in a mad frenzy to rewrite history. Conceding anything to the left is losing. In 2021, conservatives will defend gays but not trannies. In 2031, conservatives will pine for the good old days of tranny rights and how trannies are natural conservatives.

Our current year + 6 outrages will be considered indisputable truths by everyone in America. Retarded conservatives will claim credit that these insane ideas were actually conservative values all along. And so it goes.

I've heard WW2 and after was when the tyrants really started pushing for the New World Order of "live in the pod eat the bugs and rent instead of buy". Anyway, so if you're right, any hope for wokeness and the New Normal ending entirely is either outside America, or in America after a collapse? That sucks.

A major devastating war could turn things around or be the final nail in the coffin, otherwise a general decline will continue until every corner of the world looks and functions much like Mexico, with 95% (or more) living in slums surrounding tall towers in city centers.

Should have opted for "I just want to grill, or else I'll kill." Really would spiced things up.

Anyways, conservatives are the things you put in food to make it last longer.

We got past the 1970s, we'll get past whatever the fuck's been going on since 2014ish.
Why? We have far less social cohesion, the average person makes less money when accounting for inflation, is more white, and American hegemony was ascendant. You had the Soviets but the cracks were too visible by the 1970s. America is in a far worse position in 2021 than at any point in the 1970s and that even includes stagflation, long queues for gas, etc. The 1970s sucked but those are quaint times when compared to today.

Most of the really bad stuff we're seeing now is mainly affecting the cities, which genuinely are on the verge of crumbling into dust. Rural areas are mostly OK, but the real problems are going to start when all the city dwellers make a mass exodus into the rural areas from their burning cities and try and force their "values" onto the rural state governments.
