The shorter distance for sperm to travel adds up over time and presumably results in a smaller refractory period. Maybe the shorter length also results in greater force in the expelling. I autodidactally studied evolutionary biology+psychology several years ago as part of the Bevry study group and podcast.

Specifically the work A Natural History of Rape goes into this, among a plethora of other insights.

Smaller penis size is tied to monogamy: less sperm on sperm competition inside the vagina. A gradual increase in penis size is better at pushing out competitive sperm. Men in non-monogamous cultures as such collectively evolve longer/wider penises to outcompete the increasing size of their peers, and women in such cultures collectively counter-evolve wider/longer vaginas in response.
