If our self defense laws are stripped bare bones where insulting the perpetrator gives us a maximum prison sentence then...? - should this concern you?

Ever noticed throughout the times in Canada, The United States, United Kingdom, etc. Any attempts to defend ourselves results in fines or imprisonment with protesting the notion giving the same result. Complying with this rule would eventually result in your untimely death so should you consider your government null and void at this point?

The brilliance of the USA having fifty states doing their own thing is that it allows each state to pass its laws and see which laws work out the best (the concept is known as "Laboratories of Democracy"). While California and New York may follow the example of Britbongistan and Canukistan, states like Georgia and Florida do not. The USA is cucked in a number of ways, but we're not 100% screwed yet when it comes to self-defense.

Yeah, we won't truly be screwed until we have enough Turd World communists in our country to provide the political support needed for Democrats to abolish the Second Amendment. aT lEaSt tHeY'Re gOoD fOr gDP

Here’s some history that I think is a very important parable.
The Chen Sheng and Wu Guang uprising of 209 BC started for an interesting reason. You see, the law was such that if you were late to your government job you were executed. Period dot full stop fuck you doesn’t matter why you get executed. Two army officers, Chen Sheng and Wu Guang, were held up in a really bad rainstorm. They decided that as both running late and staging a rebellion were punished by death, it was better for them to fight than just lay down and die.
The legend goes that one, seeing the heavy rain and knowing they couldn't make it, turned to the other and asked, “What’s the penalty for being late?” The answer was death. Then he asked, “What’s the penalty for treason?” The answer was death. He looks straight ahead into the rain and says, “Looks like we’re late.”

Kind of like "better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6".
