Species evolve gradually over time and through millions of years of breeding. Its not like some monkey suddenly gave birth to a human and thats are one ancestor, millions of monkeys fucked each other for millions of years until they slowly evolved into humans bit by bit. We don't have one common ancestor, we have millions.
