If you have suicidal thoughts and you died pushing a kid out of a way of a speeding truck, therefore saving his life, would you still go to hell?

Jewish purgatory awaits. The entry is free of charge, but for the getting out and transition in next spiritual plain - please pledge the entirety of the world's capital in shekels, in coin value, no repeating numbers, all coins must be polished, with no sight of rust, don't forget to perform all national Jewish dance styles and circumcise your penis up to the root of it so we would replace your internal gender parts with of opposite gender.

If your intent was to suicide by truck, yes
What about suicide by Daewoo Matiz?

Every major denomination out there teaches that God sees taking your own life as a sin, as you are essentially rejecting the gift of life that was given to you. So you probably will still end up going to hell. Unless you're Catholic, in which case I guess you would end up going to purgatory.

the church is god, silly
Only God is God. The churches go by what a bunch of dudes a few hundred to a few thousand years ago thought God might've said about stuff. They hold onto it probably because tradition and if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I don't think the church wrote that part of the Bible anticipating how shit things would be such a long time later.

We're all subject to the mercy of God, though it's worth asking one pushed the kid out of the way in order to save the kid or to kill themselves. It's possible to have suicidal thoughts without committing to the act of suicide, furthermore.

Suicide was only a sin when people in the dark ages kept killing themselves to get to heaven sooner, so the church put a stop to it. God didn't say it was a sin, the church did.
>murdering someone else is bad
>murdering yourself is good or neutral

Suicide was always regarded as a sin for the same reason murder was regarded as a sin. Eastern Christianity never had the problem of which you speak but never believed killing yourself wasn't in itself a sin.
