Do you use any? Do you play indie games when you're bored and have nothing better to do? Do you make your own indie games?
This thread focuses primarily on indies games and sites like Itch.io and Gamejolt. Post hidden gems that we should probably try out or dumb shit that we should all laugh at.
If you don't know what an Itch.io or Gamejolt is here's a minimalistic overview
Itch.io
Itch.io is famous for featuring a shitload of game jams that anyone with an account can make and its vast collection of indie games, not all of them are high quality, but a good portion of them are and they're featured on the homepage. (And by high, I obviously mean they are slightly better than the best Flash games, don't expect any God of War or RDR2.) It's gotten especially more traction in recent times thanks to youtubers like Alpha Beta Gamer and some very popular games like Friday Night Funkin' and Baldi's Basics.
Though Itch.io is also infamous for its appeal to the woke crowd. There are many SJWs posting their half-assed games on the site, making Antifa/Trans game jams or whining about the cis straights on the forums.
Itch.io made a bundle called "Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality" after some guy overdosed on Fentanyl which was very successful and because I'm an opportunist whenever it involves money I would have bought it if I knew it existed, lame.
Most recently, a fairly popular bundle of games for the measly price of almost nothing is on the site called "Bundle for Ukraine". Feel free to buy it if you want to.

Gamejolt is famous for its collection of Sonic.exe clones and FNAF fangames. Yeah I know
.
Gamejolt is also infamous for its unfathomable amount of shovelware. I would watch a youtube channel called Gaming Garbage, owned by the myth, the legend himself, Lowtax, and each time he would get most of the games to crap on from Gamejolt.
Gamejolt as a platform is probably the best alternative to Itch.io to put your games on if for whatever reason you've been banned from Itch.io.
