Hello everyone!
Honestly, I've really just been lurking here for a few months without bothering to make an account and finally decided to (maybe) actually contribute something useful to the discussion.

Oh, hi.

I've been lurking the Christory for years. You can consider me something like a grizzled war veteran, except my PTSD is from seeing bent ducks and so much naked Chris. So much naked Chris.

I forgot along the way that the most documented manchild of the century also has a community of people that discuss and document his every movement in perhaps greater magnitude than the NSA ever would, so I figure you might be decent people. I came to join the secret club.

oh hi i've posted like 500 times but i just saw this thread. i lurked for a while, hopefully long enough to not be an intolerable dong. i think you guys and girls are just aces AUGH YEAH

Long time lurker, first time poster here. I've been following Chris and his antics for about two years now and wow, what a ride. Figured I would sign up here since everybody here is pretty cool and I've had some of my best laughs in awhile reading some of the threads here. Looking forward to more!

Heylo. I've been following Chris for about 3 years. His name would occasionally pop up while I was browsing the interwebs ("omgz dis remind me of Chris Chan!"), but I never really bothered looking him up until I was watching Harry Partidge's "Nicolas Cage Wants Cake", saw an illustration of some nerdy-looking guy in a striped shirt with a medallion make a brief appearance, scrolled through the comments and came across tons of users mentioning this dude. So I thought, "Well, if Harry Partridge is making a reference, I guess I should finally see what these people are talking about." I Googled "Chris Chan", and my life was never the same...

I lurked the forums, but I never created an account since I'm just your typical Christorian/observer. Chris was like my dirty little secret, and if I brought it up to any of my friends, I'm sure they'd put me in a straight jacket and lock me in a padded cell. So I guess I finally realized it would nice to find a cozy little haven where I could connect with folks who share this same unhealthy obsession.

Thanks :smile: I'm an animal lover and a Chris follower so it made sense. That and I always felt bad for Kitty (that Captain's Log video comes to mind) since she seemed to be the cat nobody cared for. Always a pity when innocent animals end up with folks like the Chandlers, Branchlandians, etc.
 
Hello everyone. I have been following Chris since around 2009, which plays into my username. I found out about him from a commentary I watched years ago and kept researching ever since, finding the CWCki and going deeper down the rabbit hole. Chris is an utterly fascinating human being, whose story should be taught to every high school student in the developed world about the permanence of what they post on the internet. Not to mention hilarious as hell when he's not utterly disturbing. I found the forums recently and became interested in Chris again because I never really knew the kinds of things that he was doing since leaving Youtube. The whole thing about begging for expensive Lego sets while trying to sell a family heirloom is funny and sad at the same time.

Unfortunately, I was the kind of person who took morbid curiosity too far and became a class-A A-Logger. I ended up becoming a D-List commentator on Youtube under the name SoA990 (Which was named after an abandoned book idea and not Sons of Anarchy which I didn't know existed at the time). To refresh your memory of crappy commentators, I was the guy who always used pictures of Yukari from Azumanga Daioh during the points when I was talking. I did a ton of commentaries from 2009-2011 before my personal life hit the fan, I reached Chris Chan level depths of suck, alienated the one guy who actually cared about my videos and tried to fix my life up. Sorry for the life story, but I hope I can provide a perspective on most topics here, but especially A-Logging which I experienced first hand.

Anyway, I hope to become a bigger part of the community without falling into the A-Logging trap and find about other lolcows and meet cool people, because as fun as well-made Youtube videos are, idiotic and lolcow-worthy ones are just as fun.
