They use Tether, bitcoin and some Monero but you have to be careful, Coinbase wouldn't let be transfer to my Iranian friends account when he needed food. Your other alternative would be find some exchange in a CIS country, Kazakstan, Armenia, Tajikistan or Azerbaijan but you need a trustworthy personal relationship for that since Iran is under heavy sanctions.Honestly I would like to buy some Iranian currency for when this shit levels out it would help my personal goals a lot. Where is the best place to do this? I've only ever bought krypto on coinbase to hold for a while dude.
I wouldn't invest in anything now since the banks are all closed and the currency will undergo an inevitable redenomination process. Depending on how this shakes out, I will be over there in 6 months to Tehran, also communication will be much easier once this is all over. A good chunk of Persian zoomers speak english from video games and school.
