It would be a more accurate metaphor if George Floyd was an extreme blue lives matter advocate. The reason Franz Ferdinand dying provoked such a violent response from Austria is that he was a rabid pro-Serbian reformer and the Serbians killed him anyway. Franz Ferdinand wanted the Austro-Hungarian empire to be a union of equal states, rather than an Austrian empire with subject states. His death made it clear to Austria that peace was never an option and they would never willingly accept their occupation.
