Is it GAY to like Dragonforce?

All their stuff is great until Reaching Into Infinity when they jumped the shark and decided to be a parody band of themselves and now they make shittier versions of Gloryhammer or Beast in Black songs. It's some manly fucking shit and you need an ultra beatdown for thinking otherwise.

Power Metal is not "manly". If you want manliness in metal, look at Thrash bands like Slayer. Power Metal is for effeminate hipsters who crossdress in the privacy of their studio apartment.

Through The Fire and The Flames gets what we call the Kojima Pass. It's allowed to be a power metal ballad that hits dorky levels and still be considered cool because it was the first in the gaming landscape. But every other Dragon Force song is still gay.

The village people are pretty manly. A bunch of buff hairy men dressed in leather and blue collar workwear. They even have songs about being manly, like Macho Man.

Point being, caring about being manly is pretty fucking gay.

Most metal is pretty gay, for that matter. Doom and sludge get a pass because they help me PR, but mostly it's just theater kids LARPing as wizards and shit, sound and fury signifying nothing. The teenage twinks in Mayhem prove the rule, one person lived it once and people still talk about it thirty years later. I'd feel more threatened by musicians like Michael Gira and David Tibet than any metal musician I can think of. I guess Peter Steele in his prime on raw physicality, that build at 6'8" is fucking insane. But he sang the pussiest songs in the world, which just proves my point that the people who spend all their time talking and writing and singing about manliness are the smallest gayest cowards while people who look like real life Frank Frazetta paintings sing songs about being sad.

Nigga it's manly as fuck full of manly tears just like the badass anime about robots punching other robots and monsters and ayylmaos I enjoy. You'd know it if you thought about it for a few minutes.
