It’s real in the sense that the Heritage Foundation drafted a set of policy proposals. Lots of large think tanks will do this before an election. The main purpose is to put people in the think tank into the incoming administration.
Is it real in the sense that they’re actual realistic policy proposals? Not broadly; they may be the alpha version of something in the future. But there’s a lot of shit in there like cutting veteran’s benefits that will never get brought up.
Furthermore, the (imo totalitarian) policies that increase executive power will also probably not come to fruition since, you know, Democrats will eventually be re-elected and will then have that power. Congressfolks who have like a 92% chance of re-election only thinking about the next election might be myopic enough to think it’s a good idea, but policy wonks are generally more thoughtful.
The panic around it is just standard democrat pearl clutching. Like when Obama deported 8x as many people as Bush, but when Trump wants to deport people they’re screeching that it’s un-American and “didn’t you read the POEM on the Statue of Liberty?!?!?!?”
