Japanese cartoons do this because publishers don't like it when characters pop a boner or pitch a tent as a joke. The author says "hmmm what is a boner anyway? increased blood flow? how do I show that with a reaction shot of the face? blushing? no, not extreme enough... spontaneous nosebleed, that's the ticket!"

Some even combine it with the classic "eyes turn into hearts, jaw drops to the floor and tongue rolls out across the ground, awooga awooga" routine but I think most see that as too American.

I think I've seen eyeballs shoot out their head before but I think that's masaaki yuasa, probably in this film which ain't your regular anime.

Well he was fused with that red guy for a good bit so does that count as getting laid, is it steven universe rules? Also if that red dude got laid does that transfer over or did there fusion have half a v card? Either way I'm glad they unfused, that design was somehow even gayer.
