Is the CWCiki down? (Or blocked on my end?)

For close to a week or so now, I haven't been able to get onto it. From what I'm gathering though, nobody here seems to be mentioning it. Is it possible that it's being blocked somehow by Verizon? This is the page I keep getting when I try to visit it.

That and the server missing stylesheets if not rebooted periodically. If you try editing articles then you're even worse off- only half the saves go through and some articles simply cannot be edited.

It's all a bit technical but I've tried convincing @Marvin to just migrate all existing articles to a fresh install of MediaWiki. This would probably mean losing some features but would bring us up-to-date with per-section editing (much needed in larger articles), better mobile support, better history management (like diffs), etc.

If you've got some money I'm sure donations would be a nice incentive. Let's be honest here, it's a much nobler cause than that other, much less lolsy ripoff site wiki-pedia or something.

Yeah, that's my goal. I'm kinda busy nowadays, I'm trying to find the time to do it.

(Although I need to find a new way to receive donations, paypal welched on us.)

If you could get a patreon up and running it would be pretty sweet since most donations there are on a monthly basis. You could even test the waters here by making a CWC thread asking for support to bring the wiki up-to-date with modern technology and listing all of its current problems. I'm pretty sure the community would back you up on that effort- I mean, come on, if the weens are even willing to throw free money at Chris...

Just make sure the patreon is listed as a community wiki or something so as to avoid it getting removed as harassment or something like that, even if it would be a pretty loose categorization of such.
