Definition of journalism, courtesy of chatgpt
Journalism is the activity of gathering, assessing, creating, and presenting news and information to the public. It involves researching, reporting, and analyzing events, trends, issues, and people to provide accurate, timely, and relevant information.
That is exactly what many people on the farms strive to do, just usually about lolcows and internet drama. And yet everyone talks about how we should hang all journoscum (we should). Curious.

10 percent journalism, 90 percent sperging retards.
I really appreciate the amount of information I get here during major events. Hundreds or thousands of people are pulling information from other websites and posting it here much faster than news outlets making sure they don't offend the wrong people.
I don't appreciate people repeating the most basic talking points for up votes or someone posting the same thing either because they're to lazy to check or the thread is moving so fast that it becomes almost impossible to post something pertinent.

An archive is a collection of primary sources that were created at the time of the event they are related to by participants/witnesses. You can use an up-to-date archive as news, but you can't necessarily use the news as an archival record. At least that's my understanding of it.

This column on the homepage is my newspaper, so yes.

Kiwi farms does more investigative journalism, with actual facts, receipts, and proof, than most organizations that call themselves journalistic organizations of record.

Null needs to think about issuing official Press cards for the Kiwi Farms Picayune. Might even be able to get funding for an organization that is mostly staffed by autists by saying it employs those with special needs.

You get a pass after you do your first doxing. Gold plated pass if the doxed subject does a 41

We are supposed to be a group of archivists, but half the niggers on here can't be bothered to take screenshots.

There's no expectation of integrity, accuracy, or really any standards for posting at all, so no.

I disagree, and if you violate my standards I'll call you a faggot.

Meanwhile cowardly 'news' sites all closed their comment sections years ago, so they're far less legitimate, much like any other site I don't post on.

Kiwifarms is a voluntary internet web board and I'm a journalist

The highlight feature is pretty neat when things start going fast but it doesn't always capture the most pertinent or important posts. There's got to be a way to filter out or subdivide tards like me who contribute nothing yet still want to comment.
