Don't really know how to phrase this without giving specific examples but the moment an individual does something that seems to mark the begining of their decline into lolcowdom, and usually becomes a defining talking point when looking on them in retrospect.
Example 1: "Gunt" for Ethan Ralph. The Gunt photo, and more specifically Ralph's response to it is something that became a defining hallmark of his lolcow following and it gets incorporated into terms - either people call Ralph Gunt as a nickname or people defending him became known as Gunt Guards, etc.
Example 2: the "Balldo" for Rekieta. That seemed to be the object that perfectly encapsulated the change in how Rekieta had been - a fairly insightful, tradcon internet lawyer - because it embodies everything about this degenerate hedonism that has marked the past year of his life.
Even outside of conventional lolcows, I think about something like Goeff Keighley sitting there with the Doritos and Mountain Dew. That one image has managed to tarnish his reputation for the rest of his life, just because it was the perfect example of being a corporate stooge.
I feel like there should be a term for that specific subset of lolcows who started off as normal, well respected figures and slowly declined, and one moment or object in particular becomes a defining marker in talking about them later on because it exemplifies how they changed. Can anyone think of one?
