This is a supposed phenomenon inherent to the Kali Yuga, wherein time speeds up and everything gets shittier and falls apart before it's reborn and the cycle begins anew, and which we are supposedly living in right now and have been since ~3000 BC.

The logical takeaway from that information is that retarded doomers have felt like time is speeding up and the world is getting worse as far back as 5000 years ago, so either shit was really really fucking slow and cool back then or it's just tricks of the mind.
