To me he isn't, because everyone hates him for getting murdered by Saibamen which was an unfair fight.

He was canonically a cheater, it's a fact, it's why his relationship with Bulma was rough.

Yamcha is mocked a lot but he's literally a professional baseball player and playboy, as well as more powerful than 99% of anime characters. Fun fact, he's also one of the best cooks in their world.

He can literally destroy planets way into the anime, and if we take power levels seriously, and so do the others.

But Toriyama does not show that to my knowledge, because as lesser characters they are relegated to being a little more than comic reliefs/lame sidekicks.

Just think of it, Krillin can destroy a planet easily, Tien, Yamcha, and probably Chiaotzu, what a mess. They went from fighting bandits to being galactic menaces.

Chiaotzu certainly is strong enough to destroy a planet too, even Roshi was strong enough to fight Frieza-tier enemies by the time Aba and Cado invaded Earth, so there's no doubt Chiaotzu was as well considering he trains nonstop with Tien, unlike Roshi who probably only began retraining after the Buu saga.

Tien also considered bringing him to the Tournament of Power, something he wouldn't do if Chiaotzu hadn't grown in power considerably (he's left Chiaotzu behind multiple times before for not being up to snuff, so he must've been a viable choice).

It only takes an 18,000 Power Level to destroy a planet (possibly less), so current Chiaotzu has to be well over that, he fought alongside Tien in the DBS manga, indicating Tien considers him powerful enough to help again (and with DBS' massive power creep that's really saying something).

Yeah, Bulma is a slut too, she wanted to fuck the gay pedophile General Blue, even after she hooked up with Yamcha, and I think it was before he started cheating on her.
