Your body produces all of the vit D it needs if you go outside every day. If you are like the erverlord and stay inside coding everyday I can see where it would be helpful though. For normal humans the "spring" kind of feeling happens after the winter because during the winter you are deprived of sunshine and the warm air and extra vitamin d perk you up in spring time until it becomes summer hot stay in the house under the air conditioner. If going outside or taking vitamin D supplements don't help you, I'd suggest SAM-E. It's not a vitamin, but it is a naturally occurring chemical in your body. I think of it as the complacency vitamin. After a couple weeks it can take you from "I want to die" to "I'm too lazy to kill myself so I guess I'll keep on living." SAM-E is super reactive to air so only trust blister packs.

You have to go outside in direct sunlight an hour a day. It's why when you get sent to prison, they have to let you have yard time. To deprive you of this is considered cruel and unusual punishment by bleeding heart leftist faggots. This is also another reason why prison yards don't have any shade spots. They want to make sure you get that direct sunlight. They also don't want you climbing up a tree and going over the fence. When they build a prison, they make sure the yard will have direct sunlight for an hour.

But not everyone gets outside for an hour a day in direct sunlight. About 45% of Americans are vitamin D deficient. With our sedentary lives most people hardly leave the house anymore. People used to work outside doing manual labor as well and it helped them get that hour a day. But many people don't work outside anymore. Once you become vitamin D deficient no amount of sunlight drinking milk or eating cheese will help you. You need to get vitamin D supplements.

I was vitamin D deficient years ago. From a combination of working indoors not spending a lot of time outside and not really being a big milk drinker. You can die from it, but it would have to get very low. When you get vitamin D deficient you will probably turn into a whiny depressed bitch. That's what happened to me. It's like that depression you get in the wintertime, but it happens all year long. My doctor did a physical and found out I was vitamin D deficient, so he hooked me up with some supplements. I took them for a while, and I got better. I stopped being a whiny depressed bitch and went back to being an abrasive asshole. Vitamin D is also important for your immunity.

Some of the depression in the country could be solved by fixing peoples vitamin D deficiency. If you do take the supplements take them as prescribed. Overdosing on vitamin D can kill you. Eventually you will get to a point where you no longer have to take them. Then you can do the whole 1 hour worth of direct sunlight a day to keep it up.

But let's keep giving people anti-depressants. Not vitamin D.

Nobody on this forum goes outside

Except for me. I'm not like you internet people

Even if you are out often its smart to take vit D during the winter when there is less sun

I prefer overcast weather and cold snow because you can wear cool jackets and boots. I usually only go for long bike rides when it's cold as hell. It also might be ptsd for forcing myself to go to the beach when I was a teen, and I hate the beach and the sand.
