Hugo and Jake (formerly known as TheBibleReloaded) began on January 3rd, 2012 as a channel dedicated to "debunking" Christian beliefs in the wild days of YouTube Atheism. Their first, most important, and longest running series, Atheist Bible Study began in July of that same year. They've since opened several other channels, Unpopular Culture in 2014 (for Let's Plays, a Dungeons and Dragons show, etc.) and The Quran Reloaded in 2016 (TBR but for Islamic Content). They've crossed over with several anti-religion (Logicked, DarkMatter2525, Steve Shives), anti-SJW (The Amazing Atheist, Chris Ray Gun) and other such lolcow darlings (sh0eonhead).

Hugo and Jake were involved in an almost interesting lawsuit with Five and Two Pictures (a.k.a. Christiano Film Group), a religious film studio, for their reviews of several of their films, for which they started a GoFundMe for a defense fund, raising close to $85,000. According to RationalWiki, the upper echelon of reliable sources, "...the person who filed the false claims had gone nuts over something said on social media, and the Christiano Film Group completely disowned his actions and were very sorry for the incident."

The Troon Saga

On September 25th, 2019, a video entitled She/Her was released. In it, Hugo confirmed what had been posted all over (her) Twitter; that she had come out publicly as bisexual and trans. In the near half-hour video, Hugo revealed several things about (her) journey, in which (she):
-Started experimenting with crossdressing in Kindergarten
-Hates her father because of his conservative leanings and transphobic comments (and would not accept him back into her life even if he came around to it)
-Has been on estrogen for the better part of nine months and is waiting on anti-androgens
-Has to drive two and a half hours to Detroit for care
-Thought about killing (her)self before accepting (she) was trans (interesting, huh?)

I think they are so used to being so horrendous that at that point they don't give a shit how much worse they could look.

I've listened to a few of their videos over the yrs. They seem into the whole sex positivity thing but in a non-feminist way like The Amazing Atheist. Fix the title it's not properly formatted for ones about two people. It's also lacking pretty much anything proving either of them are lolcows. This is basically "I disagree with their politics, one is transitioning, and they know some other people some of whom have threads."

Also the cows in the lolsuit seem to be the film studio, seeing as they were so unable to handle these two criticizing them online that they filed spurious claims.

I watch TBR and noticed Hugos hair getting longer while her chin got larger. Not sure if she's self medicating with food to deal with mental stuff, or if psych meds are adding to already there hunger issues, but hopefully she's making that a priority.

Wow this is kind of a shock, Hugo transitioning. I enjoy most of their content, especially when they’re not talking about Donald Trump and politics. Iirc Hugo has claimed his dad is abusive and bible-thumping. He talked about it in an Ask Hugo episode.
