Are they as good as his stuff prior to 2017? No, most aren’t. But I still love ol Jamesy for what he did in the past and it warms the cockles of my heart when a new video is uploaded. As much as people wanna clown on him, the ol Bimster is an internet video game legend and pioneer.

I remember liking DBZ, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon, Naruto, Pokemon, GTA, Resident Evil, Fallout, Tomb Raider, Futurama, Family Guy, SpongeBob, Spiderman, Jurassic Park, Star Trek, Star Wars, etc. back when they were actually good. But those days are far long gone. They're forever brands just for the corporations to keep said brands alive.

But then there's stuff like Beavis & Butthead, Aqua Teen and American Dad, and they're still based to this day.

We need more AI-voice AVGN. Just sample a few different speech styles James does in AVGN episodes (that fake review of that Commodore game was funny but it's easy to make AI sound too "monotone"), find a stupid old game, mix in some footage from old episodes, and y. James should probably just find the fans willing to waste time doing that and collect the money from that shit. We all know the Deadly Towers episode is funnier than anything Screenwave has done, James should just monetize that sort of shit instead of whatever the hell the Kid Icarus review was. I mean holy shit, I knew his hairline was bad, but I never knew how big that bald patch on the backside of his head was.

Thanks for this, now I don’t have to put myself through the strain of watching it, unless he makes something truly so bad that it turns into a type of anti comedy this is where I finally check out watching new episodes, I think James has officially exhausted any types of games he can do and has hit a creative brick wall.

Considering the sheer range of every terrible console or game he’s played im not sure what other kind of godawful retro titles there is for him to do. At this point the only ground I can think of him to cover would be flash games or really crappy bootlegs of classic games Aka 7 grandad, steam shovelware or at a last resort, flash games of some sort. I think he’s exhausted his creative resources at this point. Realistically considering the over saturation of game critics nowadays and the tired shtick of ‘angry gamers/critics’ at this point, what do people really want to see at this point from a modern AVGN episode?

Heroes of the Lance on NES. Seanbaby famously covered it like 20 years ago and I remember growing up laughing at that sort of stuff (which is why I liked AVGN when I first found him in way back in the day). I've expected an AVGN on that one for almost 15 years but it never came and now I'm sad I can't see James rage at the infamous difficulty with the blue midgets who kick you in the shins until you die. Or maybe I will but it just won't be funny like classic AVGN would've made it.

Other than that I think he's covered it all beside maybe Barney's Hide and Go Seek. But I swear Mike did that one on his own. Or maybe do an actual ET review and not whatever that was in the AVGN movie.

I just meant the gameplay footage was literally lifted from Mike's stream, though he is credited with "script help" as well as for the gameplay. Who knows how much he actually contributed, but I would guess it was most of the NES history shit and a couple jokes. The majority of the episode has modern James' writing style all over it, dude definitely seems like the kind of sperg that would be into Greek mythology. That farm skit was fucking retarded, too, definitely cut from the same cloth as all the skits James has been writing for the last couple of years. It's almost as bad as the surfing nerd skit. Did he just watch the first few Tegridy Farms episodes of South Park and think they were hilarious or something?

This episode is blatantly Screenwave everywhere. The only Greek mythology thing James would put in is a reference to Iron Maiden's "Flight of Icarus."

When I first heard it on the front page I thought it was actually James' voice, then when I read this post I realized it's from a book so the lines are probably AI generated, and then realized again that he narrated his own book and all the voice clips are taken from that audiobook.
