Great analysis, but IMO he's just stupid. What you described is fast and easy to set up... if you know what you're doing. If you don't, then that's lots of hours and effort to research, plan and test drive before investing a lot of money into it and if it was THAT simple, half of Youtube would be millionaires. That's why I think he partnered with Guntwave: they're supplying the Internet marketing know-how that James has no clue about, because AVGN was a side project for a long time that Mike was handling the business and creative side of; James was handling the video editing part and doing his trademark goofy upside-down smile before the camera. Mike leaves and now James has no fucking clue how any of this works and NO TIME to learn - and I'm not joking here, imagine you're a drone at some assembly line where all machines are chugging along but require constant supervision and adjusting, but the mechanic responsible for that gets kidnapped by ninjas and it's your ass if something breaks.
No, Amazon has a team of people to make sure the process is easy, even for a tard. The most difficult part of making money on YouTube is getting views. James has the added benefit of appealing to late 20's to early 50's men. That's the most difficult demographic to reach and they have lots of money.
  1. Spend an hour watching "How to Make Money on YouTube" videos. Any decent video will mention affiliate marketing.
  2. Sign up for Amazon Associates. (Tens of millions of people have done this. Half an hour at most.)
  3. Sign up for the eBay Partner Network. (Tens of millions of people figured out how to do this. Half an hour at most.)
  4. Copy past a ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) or URL into a affiliate link generator.
  5. Paste the affiliate link into the video description. Doing this on the back catalog is what will take the most time.
  6. Take 10 second to mention the link in new videos instead of doing VPN ad reads. Or do both.
  7. Make money.
There is no investment of money. There is barely an investment of time. Doing this on a single AVGN video would have made them go "Oh shit! That's lots of fucking money! Let's do that on all the videos."

James is smart enough to figure out how to open a YouTube account. I'm sure he can figure out how to sign up for Patreon:
  1. Open a Patreon.
  2. Ask for money instead of doing VPN ad reads. Or do both.
  3. Make money.
I covered the math behind how much he'd make in this post.

Someone that knew what they were doing would have the Cinemassacre channel making ~$4-5 million a year with the current state of the channel.

Instead, the channel is likely making around $1.5 million a year and declining. Taxes, overhead, and paying people to plagiarize is going to eat up a huge chunk of revenue.

James would rather spend time making shit that no one will watch to add to his IMDB page. Given the option of having an additional entry on his IMDB or one less entry and millions of dollars, James will pick his IMDB page. It's absolutely hilarious.

EDIT: He managed to do the work to crowd fund $325,000 for his shitty movie, because that got to go on his IMDB page. That would have required more work than what was described above.

Aaaahhhhh... Thanks for the tips... suckeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!

BTW. Hosts with the most
- Most of what? Weight? Pokeyman funko pops?

The fuck is this video? It just opens, no introduction and no nothing. No ad-read which was surprising for them. Why would anyone care what these two think of VR Resident Evil 4? Then it cuts to Kieran in some storage closet while fat Justin has a green screen background and flails around.

Why do they keep making videos like this? It's clear by the like to dislike ratio that the Cinemassacre audience massively dislikes them, not just those of the assholish variety. They've done this multiple times yet the slobs still keep going with making these videos that are more like ads than actual entertainment.

No one is paying for more access to slobs or Rex viper
Of course not, but there are plenty of other benefits he can offer, such as:
※Movie night
※Access to new AVGN videos 24 hours earlier
※Access to an exclusive Discord
※Short livestreams of the filming process of every Nerd episode
※Short livestreams of James and one slob (since Mike is no longer with them) playing vidya
and so forth.

Of course, he could also promise to make another film and then stop making videos, act depressed, lash out at his fans, bitch at orange man on Twitter, separate from his wife, and move into his parents' house. That would be more amusing.

All good ideas except for discord. Whenever I hear about Discord, it always involves drama or sexual predators. It's best for James to stay away from the site, particularly when he's still associated with Justin. Something about Justin is just unsettling. He seems like the type to have massive skeletons in his closet. It wouldn't surprise me if he ended up a sexual predator.

It probably depends on how well your jannies (who do it for free lmao) wrangle the tards in the server. These Youtuber Discords can be hit or miss, but there do exist servers that continue to operate even after encountering drama. With that said, if the slobs moderated it then I estimate the server won't last for half a year.

They'll never learn. Leeching off James's channel for e-fame means more to them than managing the channel and putting out a good product.

I watched maybe 3-4 minutes of this shit video and that's what I wanted to post. Holy shit, I didn't know that it's possible to have negative charisma. Are they not aware of this? Do they really think people want to watch fatsos with no charisma who would struggle to be funny to save their lives. It's like watching Amy Schumer standup, forcing someone to watch this shit should be considered as torture.
It's also weird that Bimmy doesn't care that his youtube channel is going to shit, I mean I thought he hired fatsos to make his channel bigger, not shitter.
Oh well, I quess he has no time for trivial things like making money.

There’s never going to be a Patreon. You would have to interact with the Patreons, and provide content they want.

James doesn’t want to do either of those things. No one is paying for more access to slobs or Rex viper
they already have the YT equivalent of patreon w/ that join button...but the perks look like shit

The video was sponsored by Oculus. the whole video was a shilling ad.
I am 99% sure they're using bots to upvote the videos. When I looked at it (because fuck watching the entire thing) it had a little over 1K upvotes and 1K down. Views were like 20K. Now the views are 50K and it's 2.2K upvotes and 2K down. So it's either bots or Indians or whatever just slam the like the button as soon as any video is out.

Justin Silverman doesn’t look as huge as the last time I saw him. Kieran is here, Ryan Is here and Tony is here. I don’t know any females on Screenwave, so I can’t name drop them.

Got an AVGN blu ray at long long last.
