i joined them briefly, but when i asked about service weapons and combat training, they looked at me funny and asked me to leave
turns out they aren't an army at all! someone should sue them for false advertising tbh
serious answer: organized charity is full of corruption (both political and financial) and generally extremely inefficient in managing and allocating the money they handle.
if you want to do good, i am 99% sure that you know someone in your life who has problems and could use some assistance. go help them directly, it's a lot better than just throwing money at large institutions.

I thought the Salvation Army was against the LGBT community? I've heard bitching for years about how you shouldn't donate to the Salvation Army because of this. Was it all a lie? Why the fuck the gays lying about something like this? Do they really need to discredit every legitimate source of goodwill on earth or is there truth to their claims?I haven't and I wouldn't.
