Joker 2 was a message for Muslims - The IDF is planning buck break Gazans

I’ve noticed a lot of terminally online Westerns claiming that Joker 2 was intentionally sabotaged because it resonated with “the wrong crowd” (i.e. disenfranchised young white men). They claim that the Joker character was raped & humiliated before being killed to further demoralise white men. What you probably didn’t know is that Joker was an incredibly popular movie in Palestine. As you can imagine, it was very relatable to the average Pali living under Israeli occupation.

As a man of Jewish heritage, Todd Bunzl (professionally known as Todd Phillips) has responded by updating the message of Joker 2 to be one to which now Israelis can rally around. Instead of the downtrodden rising up, Palestinians are raped into submission and then killed. It’s almost reminiscent of the ending to 1984.

the joker movie might have 'resonated with people' like how paw patrol resonates with children but the movie is completely devoid of any original ideas. the heath ledger joker at least made an impression on people for being a novel interpretation of the character. putting the heath ledger joker's messy facepaint on travis bickle from taxi driver isn't even an idea, it's a pastiche of two existing things that people are already completely familiar with that leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination

making a shitty sequel where they grab lady gaga isn't immediately obvious as a pastiche but it does come off as a desperate attempt to redo the manufactured legacy of the original film by attracting terminally online female viewers to the sequel, like an even lazier version of ghostbusters 2016
