JonTron Thread

You tellin' me this Jew got Jewery financing? Honest to He, I sometimes forget people are just born into inability to fail. The bitch who modeled Quiet in MGS has rich parents and she's a D-list model in Japan, skating around on their backing.
No, he's the other kind of Levantine. Jon also has a conspicuous lack of loyalty to all the stuff a rich jew in New York is obliged to drum about on social media, so he either doesn't have a rich family (this would run contrary to rumors) or he does but they're not jews.

To start, Jon Jafari has a rich Iranian father from California and a mother from an ex-Sovietstan or ex-Yugoslavia country. Look at all the old yahoo questions shit he did years ago, and the big house he lived in with his parents in California.

But, he also made a shit-load off just JonTron and GameGrumps. When he moved to NYC, he was getting deals with Disney and FlexTape and infamously Raid: Shadow Legends. That adds up when you’re hitting 10mil views per video. Safe to say he makes residuals. He was also pretty close with Ethan Klein and his circle at some point too, where he could have provided resources. He’s also buddies with Internet Historian, which is another network.

Check his twitter, his official business contact is through Ellify. Ellify is a Vancouver based YouTube talent agency that employs several other YouTubers (none I recognize other than Xiaoman). They’ve done work with all the usual suspects, but also Warner Brothers and Sony. Interestingly, they don’t list Disney or Raid: Shadow Legends (Plarium, who are Israeli and owned by an Australian slot machine manufacturer) indicates that this partnership is relatively recent. Maybe it’s a recent contract for his own business, maybe his business didn’t pan out and it was taken in and that’s why he’s uploading somewhat more frequently, or maybe he cut a good deal behind the scenes.

I checked the IMDB, but didn’t see much for anyone involved in JonTron as a jumping off point.

EDIT : Don’t forget that he was a founding member of NormalBoots, which doesn’t mean shit these days, but back in 2013-2017 they were a growing alternative to CA and ScrewAttack. Besides Jon, there was the Completionist, PBG, and ProJared. Also Continue? But they were never that big. That’s another solid source of revenue and networking. It’s a known thing that he hangs with old Newgrounds guys too, which opens yet more connections (look at what Tomar’s company gets involved in, and Behemoth).

To his absolute credit, for as much as he started with objectively, he did all this networking and growth by himself. Unless, you want to make the accusation that his early success came from his willingness to funnel daddies money into any asshole internet friend (like in GameGrumps or NormalBoots). But even then, you’d still have to concede that after the start, he kept it rolling.

Good YouTuber ending - You invested wisely when times were good and can now coast around doing fun stuff with your friends and family.

Not going to edit again, but holy shit has anyone ever googled “Jafari California” before?

Jafari Law Group : Attorneys for Business

Earliest filing I saw was in 1998, but they’ve done patent disputes involving Hewlett-Packard, SanDisk, and Microsoft (typically against them, but that’s pretty notable). Its founder is David Vedad Jafari.

His own bio
Justia

A lot to unpack, especially without a confirmed age, but a rough timeline can be made. He attends George Washington University, meets his wife in LA (on a trip) and has Jon sometime in 1990. He spends 10-15 years in DC trying to get out to California. Then, he forms his Law Firm in Irvine (an hour from where Jon was supposedly born in Rancho Palo Verde), but is stressed to shit causing familial tension (hence the yahoo questions thing). Jon uses the cash from a successful firm and his dads knowledge to form several companies on the west and east coast.

Again, rough timeline. I really think this is his dad because image results lead to his Facebook (which I cannot and refuse to access) where there’s this picture associated with him:

Which looks pretty fucking similar to Jontrons wife:

For shits and giggles, there’s also a Davoud Jafari, 72, who runs a nightclub in DC who was found guilty of bribing tax officials in 2023.

That actually could explain why he bashes Big Tech a lot in his videos. Like father, like son.

So what you're saying is JonTron's family is what Jirad "The Completionist" Khalil's family wanted to be but couldn't entirely pull off.
Not too familiar with Jirard, hated his Schtick from the get go (was always a Continue and PBG guy), but I wouldn’t say so. Did his whole family throw themselves behind him? If so, then not at all like Jon. Seemed like a slightly dysfunctional family that mutually supports each other without getting too involved on either side. Beyond an initial financial help, it seems like David’s contributions were advisory I.e “hey dad, does this paperwork I filled out look solid? Anything I should look out for?”

Cool fanfic. That dude is not his dad and the woman is that guy's wife. Jon's dad's name is Afshin.

I laughed hysterically at the censored orange-ass painting. A five-year-old can draw a pumpkin, yet these DIY channels come up with needlessly convoluted ways of completing simple tasks.
Having glanced at the YouTube page, it seems like a non-zero amount of these are excuses to film women’s crotches and butts and feet for the sake of views and thumbnails.

I'm gonna be straight with you, absolutely nobody is watching those videos to learn how to make a pumpkin print sign.
