I have been catching up on MATI and getting a time lapse of your gardening trials and tribulations. As someone also dealing with aphids, I thought you might enjoy some medieval revenge on them.
I've got a mystery drosera that I picked up from a friend. It is a carnivorous red plant that has this sticky ooze all over it. It loves aphids. You drop one on and watch it try to crawl away; and just as it is about to escape, the ooze will snap back like a rubber band and pull the aphid in.
Not a perfect solution. But it can at least serve as a public example to the others.
