Joshcore - AI generated covers of Null

  • Happy Easter!
im a functional retard with zero sense of pitch, tone or music so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I just made it sound like jersh and mixed it.
All good man, at the very least it did sound like josh.

90 percent of people are fucking tone deaf. If you don't play an instrument then chances are low that you pay attention to these kinds of things.
When you account for autism, it's like 99% of all farmers.

Here’s the music video

I know this song has been done to death, but I started this one a long time ago and just now got around to finishing it. Here is my Joshcore rendition of Friday by Rebecca Black:

Vocalfryday - DJ (Down Syndrome Josh) Null and MC Ethan "Rage-Pig" Ralph

I wanted to do more than just isolate the vocals and Nullify it. I clipped out the YEAHs from the original song and also made the rap segment Ethan Ralph. Unfortunately, I could not do anything about Josh sounding like a retard... maybe we can just blame the autotune lol.

Shout-out to @MrB for starting this thread I have had a lot of fun making these and it has been a really fun way to learn a bit about editing audio.

Also, for those who don't follow the MATI thread here are some Joshcore tunes inspired by the tragic loss of Kris Nova:

I've been meaning to check out this thread since the various JershAI covers were played on MATI, Kudos to OP @MrB for the simple instructions, and well done to everyone making this thread funny as hell.

My first entry is the Wine-Aunt anthem (or Wine Aunthum) "Gloria" by Laura Branigan.

Glitchy in places, here is "Gwo-wia"

Edit:

Next up is JershAI covering Leonard Nimoy's version of a song about the difficulties of injured returning WWII veterans. Yes, it's a song about war, cuckoldry, disability, and the desire to shoot women. Very apropos for the farms: "Ruby Don't Take Your Love To Town".

Based on the experience reported by others, I mixed in the vocal track extracted from the original, ducking it out most of the time and bringing it back in on the backing vocals as the AI seems to have a hard time with backing vocals and harmonies. Quite like the way this turned out.

Travelling through time and space, we reach bubble-jidai Japan and Kingo Hamada's "街のドルフィン" ("Machi no dorufin" - Dolphin In Town).
(The bit used in memes is from 2:30 onwards.)

Many Tears for this one, it's a "Mad World". Yes it is kind of funny and kind of sad.

I had a go at Depeche Mode's "Enjoy The Silence", but gave up as it was very glitchy and it would probably need a lot of manual editing.

Edit:

The stalker's theme "Every Breath You Take". I found the AI induced vocal-fries quite funny in this one.

So, I tried a number of songs that I wasn't happy with:
New Order - Ceremony
Beck - Loser
Ultravox - Vienna
Talking Heads - Psycho Killer (live on the Old Grey Whistle Test - worth re-trying this)
William Shatner and Joe Jackson - Common People
Hall & Oates - Maneater
Don Henly - Boys of Summer

And then I decided to torture the AI with a song that is pretty much nothing but vocal fry "The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth" by "Clap Your Hands Say Yeah". It actually managed to do a decent job:

JershAI covers Radiohead's Bodysnatchers (Live From The Basement):

Time for some easy listening.

Bill Withers vs Jersh: Lovely Day:

Needs more work...

Moon Spoon - Jonathan Fisk:

Jersh Straits - Money For Nothing, Hard F (for Faggot) Take 1:

I will revisit this when I have more time, as I think it has potential.

I know a few people have done Josh versions of this song, not sure if I have seen any Ethan Ralph versions though. I kinda like it. Ethan Ralph's voice lends itself really well to songs that were originally sung with a southern accent.

Ethan Ralph - Rich Men North of Richmond

While I'm on the topic of Ethan Ralph, here is an extra special Ralphcore song I made to commemorate the closing of the Ralph/Meigh marriage saga.

Trace Adkin's "Every Light in the House" by Ethan Ralph

If you're 5'3 and you're 300 pounds my taxes ought not to pay for your bags of fudge rounds",
He's gonna need to hide behind the shades to deliver that line.
His voice is too good for this, nice work.

Kid Null - Pursuit of Happiness (Extended Null Remix)

What I've noticed while editing this, is that Null and Kid Cudi have similar Vocal ranges

Here's a rushed one. I'm out of free Google GPU time, and running on the CPU takes ages for the more advanced models, which produce better results, so it has some screaming in there.

I'll see if I can get time this weekend to get this stuff running locally. I've been mainly doing these in the background, so waiting for a long-running job on CPU wasn't too much of a pain.
