The fundamental quality of existence is the lack of one. Something out of the infinity of nothing.

Suffering is nothing but a sunken cost fallacy and an addiction. Once you truly understand that suffering has zero value, it becomes much easier to stop engaging in it. Suffering, regrets, fear, sorrow doesn't make you a better person nor does in compensate for any wrongdoings. It contains zero constructive qualities.

Happiness, on the other hand, is always constructive. You never need a reason to stop suffering and be happy. Happiness comes from acceptance.

But what's suffering to begin with? What's acceptance?

The function of karma and feedback loops
In the western world karma is often misunderstood as we are conditioned by abrahamic religion. Karma is not an external force that punishes and rewards behaviour. The most simple way to explain karma would be to call it habits. It is the momentum of your mental processes. The further you go a certain mental path the more set it becomes, the more it reinforces itself. Like a snowball rolling down a snow covered slope. It's a feedback loop.

You're happy about being happy, you worry about the fact that you worry, and you fear your fear. The trick is to reverse this loop as needed and use it to your benefit. You will not fear your fear, neither fear fearing your fear, ad infinitum.

Acceptance - don't get it twisted
Acceptance is not surrender to a certain situation or mindset. It is not grindig your life to a halt and ceasing any effort. The qualities of existence and your subjective interpretation of them is not something you are trying to alter. Accepting is an action of objective observation. The eternal struggle between the concepts good and evil an aspect of reality to observe just like everything else.

Observe and accept every aspect of existence. Including your own struggle within it.

Fear Not!

Just Be Happy!

This kind of attitude always comes from people with safe and secure lives.
Go to Syria, Ukraine, the Gaza Strip, and tell those people over these to just be happy.
And yet you see people with safe and secure lives making themselves unhappy about retarded nonsense all the time. My post is aimed at those people.

Not that the philosophy doesn't apply to someone experiencing extreme suffering. But extreme suffering isn't solved by reading posts on a forum.

Sure.
Some people hate me on KF because I shame doomers all the time.
Still, this mindset is kind of a hippy perspective, I think.

I don't know about "happy", but they're probably less "unhappy" as long as they're not starving or in severe discomfort at any given moment. They're sad that so-and-so just got droned, but all the insignificant BS that makes most of us unhappy is just noise in that sort of environment. Being part of a team united in hardship is primal happiness.

Edit: BTW, I think OP has been eating mushrooms.

Again, this is a perspective of someone who never experienced any of that.
My family members were in concentration camps during WWII.
The ones who survived told me stories and there was no "primal happiness".

Sure, starvation and illness are real impediments to contentment and can break human bonds. That's how prison camps work to break spirits and kill their inmates. They're at the extreme end of the "bad time" spectrum.
