It's a step backwards from the previous installment. Most things that were done great in 3 got changed or straight up removed. It's a mess.I still have JC4 unplayed from Epic Store. How does it compare to 3? That game was stupid fun but I never finished it.

Shame I really loved the liberation system in 3.The new grapple mods are fun, but the missions and game design are a huge step back.
Instead of capturing cities by destroying all the infrastructure like in 3, you do one of a handful of boring, repetitive missions and grind them to unlock new stuff. The races and destruction challenges from 3 are gone too. The max ammo on your guns is also severely limited as well.
It's clearly rushed. Lots of undeveloped story characters and hints of things they ran out of time to complete.
They tried adding it back in 2 dlcs, but it's just new areas, and once you liberate them you can't do them again.Shame I really loved the liberation system in 3.
Definitely,Just cause 2 is the sequel that is pretty much the eqivalent of lightning in a bottle that rest of the entries in the series can't match up to because square enix doesnt seem to know the ingredients of what made 2 fun so instead we end up with sequels which are technically improvements in some areas but lacking in others and when viewed as a whole, worse than 2They peaked with Just Cause 2 imo. I didnt even get through an hour of JC4
Second one was the peak of the series, third one wasn't nearly campy enough, lacked the diversity in settings the second had (i.e. no big cities), and started veering into sci-fi, fourth one felt like they were dialing it in.
Apparently, the fifth one is going to be set in the US...
Yeah, I didn't think JC3 was *bad*, I finished it but didn't get nearly as close to 100%ing it as I did Just Cause 2. I just got really bored with the map cause of how repetitive it was, and I don't recall any of the main missions being as fun or exciting as JC2.
The design and layout of JC4's world is better than 3's, but 3's looks way better.I like Just Cause 3 but it felt bloated. Some of the side content like liberation and the challenges were pretty fun but then yo had the mindless collectathon shit. Also maybe it was due to burn out but the third region of the game was pretty dull.

WHAT DID YOU SAY NIGGAThe first one was bad, way worse than Mercenaries, but they had a good engine and some fun ideas. With Just Cause 2 they were starting to realize what was possible, like cavemen discovering fire and doing fun/dumb shit with it. After that they evolved towards hipsters discovering vaping. Too much introspection, thought and money put into something that should lean more Earth Defense Force instead of AAA flagship release.
It's worse than JC3? Is that even possible? It's a step backwards from the previous installment. Most things that were done great in 3 got changed or straight up removed. It's a mess.

I made the mistake of buying JC3 on PS4 a couple of years ago. I couldn't see shit with the 24 fps + heavy motion blur that would make me sick after 5 minutes. All I remember is the shitty progression system tied to the terribly designed challenges.
