Ted was alright, but his complaints about the industrial revolution are a little childish. He's looking at the industrial revolution purely because it happened to be an event that's well defined in history classes, but technology has always been and meant the same thing.

I'm sure years after the printing press was invented there was some motherfucker sitting around shaking his head like "I told you guys printing books and giving them to the masses was a terrible idea, and look where we are now! Printing technology was a mistake and we're all doomed!", and before that the bears were sitting around saying "Yo, I told you guys we should've mauled all those fleshy creatures with the sharp sticks, and look where we are now! Humanity was a mistake and the world is doomed!". Every time you produce a child you doom it to death. Entropy is a law that governs everything and the only way to not be doomed is to never exist at all.

So the point is Ted Kaczynski was a smart guy and all but he should keep his little livejournal-tier manifestos to himself to avoid future embarrassment.
