There's no fucking way he doesn't try to psych Kat out of getting on camera again. It can't mean that much to her because she didn't get that honeymoon phase of full Phil support like Leanna did, it just means more time to do other stuff and not having a bunch of dudes saying she got blacked or whatever. It benefits Phil, too.
Nothing has to be true at all in DSPLand, it's all relative to how much he's said and how you want to read between the lines.
I don't think so. Phil may settle for how things look with her utter absence in his life, but it's from not having a choice in the matter. He's like that with everything that isn't to his liking, but would require more than he can or wants to do, to improve it. His tips, for example, would be bigger if he embraced being a joke, and he'll never do it because it would hurt too much for any amount of money to soothe his wounds.
Make no mistake, we would see Phil light up like Clark Griswold's house on Christmas if Katherine ever decided to return to the streams, or at least stop going out of her way to appear like she doesn't live there. Because she very much does, we would have way more evidence if she wasn't trying so hard to avoid Phil. The huge difference between things before her infamous last appearance and every day following it, speaks volumes.
Which, BTW, also proves that Phil didn't say jack shit to her about trolls, because they figured out her past when he was ignorant of it, and Katherine was clearly unprepared. Next thing everyone knows, she's a ghost. No fucking way that's a coincidence.
On a somewhat separate note, how do you think Phil feels about Panda?
Rambo and Howard did things to "publicly hurt him" and he gave them extended discussions, Panda never gets mentioned by any name, if at all, despite moving on very quietly.
Like Cyber Bowling said, Leanna's in a position to do a lot of damage to him if he provokes her, way more than Rambo and Howard were able to the last time they addressed their past dealings with Phil. Not to mention, when it comes to Phil and his pain, it's the kind that he REFUSES to name that's the real deal. Those moments where he's clearly mad about something, and you can tell what it probably is because of her body language, but he uses different words? Like when he got taunted about being kicked out of yet another Champions guild, and he said "I don't know what you're talking about", but everything else about him in that moment said "Fuck you for pointing that out you stinky-ass motherfucker"?
Yeah, that's his anguish over stuff like losing Leanna, that he does not ever want to be transparent about. He's open about his hurt over Rambo and Howard because it's not as intense, and he's dumb enough to hold out hope that one day they'll feed into his apology fetish like the retards often do, but not emotional enough about it to feel very much over it not happening. Phil doesn't even want to think about Leanna because that loss, not just her leaving but humiliating him with her reveals, is like a third degree burn on his ego.
Remember when people noticed a scratch on his forehead and then he put on a beanie for no other reason that to cover it up? Without ever addressing it, when he's the same guy who loves to regale everyone with tales of his epic adventures out in public where he got irritated by something? I guarantee you that the story behind that scratch is way more entertaining than the time he supposedly had to drive around for twenty minutes to find a parking space so he could drop Katherine off at work. And way more offensive to his pride, so he'll never reveal it. Ever.
Her recent birthday is probably the best example of that I can give, where he made it all about himself by going to get fast food and then complaining nonstop about the infamous chicken sandwich.

See this is the kind of thing we would get more of from Phil if he had more of a spine or was even dumber, because that makes him look so fucking awful, and he has no idea, so he admits it anyway. Imagine if he failed to anticipate the embarrassment of confessing to so many other things, like not noticing Leanna's obvious advances, or playing a lot of Champions after she left him...
And I don't know how you guys were but when I was that age I made a bunch of decisions that was fucking stupid and I wish I hadn't.
The reason Phil gets so much more shit for stuff like that than we would ever give ourselves or each other is because we know so much more about Phil, we have all the context that's necessary to understanding the fact that he didn't pick up on those signs because that's how fucking stupid he permanently is.
I wasn't brilliant with members of the opposite sex as a young lad either, nor would I call myself James Bond today, but they also didn't do stuff that Leanna did. They were so subtle that it was easy for just about any young man to be unsure of what was going on. Most of the time, and then when it got more obvious, it was difficult to believe, so I let it pass by. But I still noticed. We know that's not what Phil does, with a LOT of things that go over his head. And more importantly, he hasn't learned a damn thing. He hasn't grown up at all. Phil and Kat have never seen each other naked and he has no idea that that's not normal. Even after being made fun of for it, because the only thing he reacts to in those moments are the slights to his ego, not the reasoning behind them. We know this because he keeps playing Champions even though he knows he would be ridiculed if he ever admitted to his waste of a hundred thousand fucking dollars on it. His brain comprehends the resulting insults as negative stimuli, nothing beyond that.
Same goes for being fed copium by an outside source, his brain just enjoys the soothing and absorbs nothing else.
