I will play the other side of the argument here for posterities sake.

When Phil and Leanna broke up, it caused a lot of drama for him. It's possible he learned from that and is just keeping the allusion of their relationship alive until after his hardcore begging season and Christmas specials so there isn't any drama taking away from it.

Also, the whole marriage thing. When did he bring up marriage with Leanna? After their relationship was already in the dump. It was his last ditch effort to save the relationship.

Her "new" night shift schedule. I assume this is to explain his new longer night stream times and him having to start cooking his own meals again.

To clarify, PandaLee was revealed in February 2012, and they'd likely been in contact since late 2011, some time after her 18th birthday in August 2011. The 'hate bandwagon' didn't begin until February 2013 with retsupurae's Colonel Drowning MGS2 video and evilaj2010's TIHYDP MGS2 video dropping - both based on a January 2012 playthrough.
DSP was in his money making heyday in 2011, his first year partnered with Machinima and obscenely high views money, so PandaLee knew she was jumping in on someone getting big bucks. In fact there were PandaLee vlogs in 2012 where she got an I believe $2K gaming PC bought by DSP... mostly so she could play Sims 3. My understanding is that is the PC that died in 2016 and DSP refused to do any technical diagnosis, just bought a random new PC off Amazon for her business.
As for Kat... no fucking clue. I expect DSP told her about the state backtaxes privately before he revealed it publicly before her 3rd visit in 2017. Even if she wasn't watching his streams regularly she would've heard most of this stuff & known he was in a bad state financially... yet he was probably throwing $$$ at her: buying those plane tickets for 3 trips in 2017, buying god knows what else during them (e.g. the visit to Ikea in the December trip).

But, I think they are a couple in name only, which I also think is the only thing Phil cares about. He just wants a trophy girlfriend, even if the trophy is the Kentucky Derby, and it seems like she just wants a place to live and play Overwatch when she isn't at the gym. Something like this is honestly best case scenario for Phil. He gets to feel like a successful adult, because in his simplistic world view if you have a girlfriend, you're winning, whether or not the relationship is healthy or you even care about the other person and vice versa. In reality, they are at most roommates, depending on whether Kat actually contributes anything. It isn't even a case of having a mooching friend, it seems like they're virtually strangers, share almost no interests and do the bare minimum together like go grocery shopping and eat dinner.

This is the best description I've seen. It's basically the equivalent of a green card marriage. Their relationship is purely transactional. DSP is the IRL equivalent of an Xbox achievement farmer. He'll get a girlfriend, or a new car, or luxury headphones, or whatever else to say he has it, but it doesn't really mean anything because he's getting it all on credit (including Kat lol) and digging himself deeper into a hole.

Just because Phil seems more upset or you see less and less of her doesnt mean she's banging another guy. She has barely been there for 7 months, the honeymoon faze for couples moving in together is at least a year. Especially the relationship her and Phil are in since they only met up 3 times before she started packing her bags for Washington.

When two people move in together hastily (let’s not discount the fact that they’re essentially strangers too) they’re lucky to last 6 months, and while I don’t have many statistics to back this up, I do know a lot of people as a result of my trade and a year spent in a weird living situation. I’ve seen a lot of people go in and out of the honeymoon phase and it barely took 1-3 months in some cases. I don’t know where you’re getting that number from, but I like to think that those couples who have a honeymoon period of a year or more are established couples who have dated for a period of time before ever moving in... Their relationship is more akin to an arranged marriage than anything else.

They are in no way in a Honeymoon anything. Phil is even lazier now than he was was Leanna in the beginning. Compare the two relationships. They went out and did things together, he was happier and seemed to enjoy her company early on. Now, he is a jaded lump of middle-ages trash decomposing on the couch while she goes out to the gym and she was already exposed as a cheater in the first place. No doubt she is looking for something else.

She came out to Phil's with nothing, so that tells me she didn't have shit where she was at. Even with the higher minimum wage out there she isn't making alot. She is stuck out there. Even if she found a "Tyrone" or is out of the honeymoon faze where is she gonna go? She would be dumb to transition into another guy this early unless he's loaded and desperate.

I’m simply stating that I think something is going on because things have taken an abrupt turn and it’s showing all over Dave’s face. His actions are erratic, he’s leaping to anger far more quickly, and the only thing we have to go on is that Kat is now working a different shift and he has to make his own meals, has even less time to spend with her, etc.

Honestly dunno why people are surprised that Phil can get women. Regardless of how gross or obnoxious he is or his perceived wealth, he has a memorable personality and a huge ego. Women love that shit. I actually think Panda Lee lost interest in him because he became so much more tame and boring than he used to be over the years. If anything it should encourage you.
