This was legit the most surprising thing to me. I think we all knew Khet ballooned up, granted, I don't know if anyone suspected she'd look as bad as she actually did. But it wasn't exactly a stretch. If someone insisted Phil was driving, I'd disagree without photo evidence. Even seeing it, I still wonder how common it is or if it just so happened he was behind the wheel that day.

I'm not surprised, Phil has never accepted that he needs glasses to drive. This is even with it being on his driver's license that he is required to wear them while driving.

With the second video, he's arguing why he needs glasses to see far while driving, and claims the optometrist cannot give him an answer, probably because Phil asked the single most retarded thing ever and the doctor is surprised he was given a driver's license. The the doctor probably did give Phil the reason, but like many things, Phil's ego could not handle it, so it never entered long term memory. At that point, I'm not suprised that Phil does all the driving.

I'm surprised because Phil's a hermit and whenever he was talking about scheduling stuff, he was saying he had to work around Khet's schedule. Granted, that could just be weird schedule autism or Phil making up an excuse why he can only do something on his day off instead of between streams or whatever, but it also implied he needed Khet to do the driving.

I'd be even more surprised if Phil was not only driving regularly, but also wearing glasses while doing so. The only way I see it happening is if his doctor hit the tips goal for him to put them on.

I don't even get the premise.
She ignores the autistic places online that call her a horse and thrives off tardbux while doing whatever she wants to do all day long. Wow, let me reach for my violin.

From our best evidence she gets to wake up every day whenever she wants and surf the makeup channels or play vanilla skyrim. Basically do whatever she wants all day since she doesn't even have that part time job stacking soup cans anymore. All her basic food and board is automatically taken care of by the Bank of OIC. She doesn't seem the type to have the curiosity to go and find out what people are saying about her online. Anything she knows is probably from phil so blame him for the 'trauma' of mean people making fun of her on the internet, for voluntarily doing something as an adult. She's living the NEET dream. All in return for existing on the marriage certificate and going out with Piggy once in awhile so he can technically not lie when he says he needs to go out with her, and that they have some sort of interaction. Otherwise they barely see each other and thats how they like it. She has Phil's lifestyle but without the need to exert even a token effort to bring in the bucks.

Plenty of people out there with zero ambition would crawl over broken glass for this sort of life. Plenty who would just sit in their rooms and game away for the rest of their life if they had the chance. And more power to them, not everybody cares enough about the rewards of a normie life to put up with the normie grind. For Khet, her aspirations in life extend as far as being elected Archmage of Winterhold. Plenty of other people to feel sad for before a neet living the neet life.

I also think you're overestimating how much DSP's life affects Khet. They barely spend any time with each other and don't seem particularly interested in what the other person does. He can't name any of the shows she watches or games she's playing. There were even some days off where he commented Khet stayed home. I'm not even joking when I say that I think the average detractor hears more about Phil complaining than she does just by virtue of watching Phil's stream. They're married in name only, otherwise, they're roommates. And not even particularly good ones at that.

I think, similar to Derich, she's as content as she can be in life because she really doesn't know any better. Instead of Twitter, she uses video games and Door Dash to fill the void. It sounds like she's also shown some signs of self awareness, hinting that she wants a better job. And if she was trying to achieve that, I might feel a little bad, but it doesn't seem like anything ever came of that and she returned to her content existence of playing video games and eating Door Dash.

To get a little real for a minute, people want to stay in a situation like that because, the alternative is actually worse. If I had to choose between being Khet or being Jenna, I'd beg for a bullet. But when I didn't get that and was forced to make a decision, I'd pick Khet's life. If Khet did leave Phil, what would really change? She'd have to settle for a smaller home, go back to working a minimum wage job and living on a potato diet. She'd still play video games in her spare time. And...that's probably it. She's not currently living the hermit lifestyle because Phil is forcing it on her, she's living it because it's what makes her content. Subsequently, it's what makes her so bland and boring from a detractor standpoint. Leanna, while far from perfect, at least did stuff, either making real appearances on camera or existing enough in the background where Phil could comment on what was happening. In some ways she's smarter than Phil because she knows how to be low profile, while Phil, up until recently(ish) used the same username everywhere and tried to insist it was someone else when he got discovered. I don't think anyone ever believed the trophy wife stuff Phil was trying to sell. I don't even think Khet was trying to sell herself like that, it was just DSP being his usual braggart self. I don't remember what we actually got from the ex, but I thought it was fairly basic and didn't give that much insight outside of the fact that she also worked a minimum wage job. But I'm pretty sure we've confirmed she comes from a pretty messed up home which I think is the most telling thing about Khet because it really explains a lot of why she is the way she is. Namely her lack of stability and any sort of ambition outside of basic day to day survival. I definitely think there's a world where, if Khet had anything resembling a traditional husband to act as a positive influence, he'd be able to help motivate her and push her out of the hermit lifestyle. For Phil, it's convenient she stays that way, which definitely makes him a bad husband, no doubt about that, but I think it's unfair to say he was the cause of Khet being a hermit.

The manipulation bit is the biggest reason I try and push back against the Khet as a victim talk because we have enough valid DSP criticisms and it feels like too much of a stretch. Phil, especially when it comes to face to face interactions, is a massive pussy. He's not wearing the pants in that relationship and forbidding Khet from going out. If that was the case, I don't know in what world he'd let her work when that was one of the big contributing factors to him losing Leanna.

100% agree with all the stuff about normal people, but I still don't think it applies to Khet. At least, not yet. This might be incredibly optimistic, but I do think there's a future where Khet pulls a Leanna and breaks out of her shell. There's been a few signs, assuming Phil isn't lying. And while Phil lies about a lot of stuff, I tend to believe the "Khet wants a better job/wants to go places" because there's no real benefit of lying about that. If anything, it makes Phil look bad because it highlights his boring hermit lifestyle.

At the risk of using a cringe phrase, I think Khet's biggest issue is she doesn't know how to be an adult. Not in the jokey internet sense of "having to do mature stuff sure is hard" but in the sense of not knowing how to better herself/advance. She's expressed a desire to have a more meaningful job, but doesn't understand how to get that and has nobody motivating her to do more. To us, it seems obvious, we had at least one parent/friend/role model/mentor figure to help us figure that out, typically at a younger age. The only lesson Khet seemed to get as a kid was not to be possessed by a demon.

Maybe trophy wife doesn't quite cover it. She was brought to Washington to be his symbol that he had moved on and was doing good and was a mature responsible adult again and she was looking to sign on to a prolific streamer. Nothing about her previous to this suggests she wasn't capable of doing adult things, and as much as we're a product of our upbringing what little we've seen of her provides the context that it didn't seem to affect her life trajectory much and outside of showing some natural awkwardness around DSP and not seeming to want to have much to do with him or his shit she doesn't have any track record for being unstable or heavily autistic.

DSP being manipulative doesn't mean he wears the pants in the house, just that he's trying to guide the narrative which he does even when he's being a cowardly little bitch. I don't think it's the job that got Leanna out of the house, it was just the natural progression of a dead end relationship and I think we're going to see that again here with Kat because there's only so much floating one can do in their life before they want to have meaning. The thing dragging it out so long like it did with Leanna is the nature of what's going on, they are essentially stranded in a state where they've been curbed to not have relationships with people and don't know where to go, a fear that only lasts so long in a dead end relationship even one that seems more for saving face than meant to be a real marriage.

Panda was a young attention whore, and saying Phil erased Kat's online presence is assuming a lot.
It's also a contradiction to how Phil initially marketed Kat. He wanted her to be in his content. The videos exist of him saying this.
