Phil is also very clearly on the spectrum so marrying another sperg doesn't seem that weird to me at all.

It's weird to me because he's a raging egomaniac on top of being autistic: Just having a girlfriend isn't enough, he wanted to have a super-successful, multi-talented, 10/10 wife so that he could own the trolls. This was how we got all the talk about how her work was so desperate to keep her they let her transfer (this is a lie, the bankruptcy says she did not work in 2018 - see page 35 of the attached PDF) , could be a swimsuit model (lol), loved to cook and clean (double lol), and was going to do co-op and her own YouTube khantent (please stop laughing).

I get that Phil was desperate post-Leanna but it's still odd to me that he put so little effort into finding a replacement: If Kat made up all that stuff he still should have realized something was up when they met in-person; if he made it all up that brings us back to his ego - even if he thought the Internet would believe his lies it still would have stung that he had to settle for a dysfunctional autistic woman.

I think it's more an issue of Phil being so on the spectrum, he did not identify Kat being autistic as well.
When simple social cues come up in public, they both are just blissfully unaware together. It would be charming in its idiocy if not for the fact that they are just abusing each other, and they are deeply disgusting people in almost every way.

Yeah but it's funny instead of tragic because they are horrible people. If either of them had any redeeming qualities at all this thread would have had a "do not white knight or call the cops for a welfare check" warning slapped on it years ago.

Unless there is some lore I'm just plain missing, the worst thing we suspect she did was lying through her teeth about how she'd be Phil's ideal woman when they were still DMing on Twitter. Even if he didn't catch it when they were chatting online or when she flew out in 2017, the ~year they lived together before getting married should have tipped him off - the second income who loved to cook and clean was unemployed all year and made frozen/boil-in-bag meals more often than not. It's scummy but it's not abuse, especially since he could have ended it at any time by telling her to get the fuck out. You know he's low enough to do it and her name was never on the mortgage, the only thing stopping him was the possibility that Internet people might call him an incel :stress:

With Phil I don't think he's abusing her anymore. Yes, the Halloween stream where he pushed all those troll comments in front of her face was abuse but since then all we have are claims that he might be feeding her conspiracy theories about trolls to spook her into staying with him. Personally I don't believe it because their relationship is dead - unless it involves food she wants him to leave her alone so she can play more Overwatch and Skyrim.

I don't think I agree that Philburt is autistic, at least not enough to be clinically so.

People always seem to act like Phil is so weird, I don't know if maybe it's just from dealing with a similar sector of society (oversocialized momma's boys from more well off families) or what but he seems like a neurotic clown with intimacy issues. There are plenty of guys like him out there, they just didn't trip and fall into e-fame.
He probably had parents who were somewhat overbearing and elitist in their attitude and so he never learned to connect with people and is always worried about whether or not he's doing what he's supposed to be doing and about his appearance as a mature adult (with a business degree).

Well again, it's mostly about appearance. He was getting older, so he needed to find a wife, or he wouldn't be a mature adult and he might die alone.

Again this isn't uncommon. It's why guys like Idubbbz wind up with some random dipshit e-girl: they're attached to the idea of having a partner simply because they're embarrassed to be single at their age (stupid) and they don't want to be alone, they have money and some level of clout, so they go "Oh well, I'll just take whoever".
Then the idea of being single or dealing with dating again is scary enough to them that they won't ever actually break up. They'll just keep larping with their (slowly psychologically unraveling) wife as a happily married couple.

I normally would say that it's insane to believe Jenna about anything, but Kat has always seemed genuinely autistic.

This is Phil we're talking about, I don't find it odd that he put no effort in finding a new maid. I think that it's likely that he bought her claims hook, line and sinker, all she needed to tell him was what he wanted to hear to get him on board. He only questions things when they don't already agree with him, not when it's something he already wants.

Also I wouldn't be surprised if she kept up appearances for the first few days before realising how pathetic Phil really is and gave up knowing that he wasn't going to do shit. He was trying to show off her food on Instagram early on.

I don't want to derail this thread about Kat with armchair speculations about Phil's psychology but just a glance over the NHS's main signs of autism in adults he checks off nearly every single box. The only one he doesn't check off is the "finding it hard to say how you feel" which he doesn't have an issue with since he loves whining.

Nah, I think there are "mundane" explanations for all those checklist items.
Finding it hard to understand others: or he just doesn't care.
Getting anxious about social situations: because he's never been in one.
Finding it hard to make friends: because he's an asshole and is afraid of social situations.
Seeming blunt, rude, or uninterested in others without meaning to: but he does mean to.
Taking things literally: this is just his pig-ignorance at work. If you don't know what something is, you guess the literal meaning.
Having a fixed routine that you can't tolerate changes to: ... all right, this one is pretty goddamn autistic, not gonna lie.

I know we joke about Phil being pretty autistic about his schedule, I'm guilty of it myself, but we definitely exaggerate it. There was a time where Phil was pretty happy taking random days off, I think the only reason he stopped is because he got more desperate for money, probably because he hit his full on whale phase for his gacha games. He's also fine randomly pulling games that he doesn't want to play. Even his day off, while something he enjoys having at the same time, is something he doesn't mind changing.

He definitely prefers things being structured, like his meals, but I think he only makes a big deal out of his schedule when something is inconvenient and he doesn't want to do it, or he needs to make himself out to be some victim. I think it's also a way for him to LARP at being an adult, since he can play office and act like he has a big boy work schedule. I'd also guess it's a holdover from his days as a piglet, since it sounds like his mom was fairly structured as well.

Pretty much agree with everything else, but I'll also add that Phil sometimes plays dumb/ignorant if it helps support a narrative. Stuff like the rainy day fund is him legit being a retard, but other times he'll purposefully play dumb about something. Like with his schedule, it's usually to ignore something that is inconvenient. Or he'll take something overly literally to try and make someone seem dumb and pretend like he doesn't know it's a joke.

Another addition, Phil is a hermit, but, he's not exactly unsocial. He just needs *very* controlled social environments. His "podcast" is proof that he enjoys some aspects of socializing, but in his mind, socializing involves people listening to his every word and telling him how right/smart he is. I think a great example of someone who is legit uncomfortable in social situations is Khet when she appeared on Phil's stream. All that being said, I wouldn't exactly be shocked if it turned out Phil was legit autistic, but I lean more towards him just being an asshole.
