I understand the gist of the tale. Locking the door is stated separate. I have never seen a cart that would 'lock' when someone hit a button.

I understand the gist of the tale. Locking the door is stated separate. I have never seen a cart that would 'lock' when someone hit a button.

Some stores have proximity locks and such on the wheels of their carts. Move the cart too far away from the hub, and it locks up. One store I go to has a remote they can press to lock the wheel whenever they feel necessary, and it similarly unlocks it with a button.
