As a meme, it's used by fat, entitled boomers and millennials, who have never and will never know real hardship, who will breakdown in tears if Starbucks doesn't get their diet mocha soy latte right, and who have been working for 80 years to dismantle the countries and freedoms that the people the poster was originally aimed at fought and died to protect.

There's been this weird phenomenon of people digging up old shit and being too new to the internet to know it's old shit but since the internet in general is now flooded with newfags, memes that should've stayed dead are becoming undead.

There was a particularly stupid instance of this meme getting out of control. I think it was a brand of dog leashes that had the meme on the handle of it, reading "Keep Calm and Walk Your Dog." The woman who made the thing insisted that she had copyright on it, and I believe she actually threatened to sue people who just posted the meme on their own social media.

This meme in general is bottom of the barrel gutter trash. It's like one of those things that you can make with zero effort and so every person and their dog has made it; even if it was ever funny (which it never was), its sheer oversaturation has rendered it completely humorless.
