The article very explicitly says "community males" multiple times, which, from my understanding, is an outlier of very poor and under- or uneducated people, who are often either convicted criminals and/or gang members.

The study also has one massive validity issue from what I can see. Which is that if you're strapping shit to dude's penises and telling them that they're in a sex study, chances are a lot of them are going to get boners even if you showed nothing but HRC nudes because surprise surprise they're now thinking about sex .
